masculinity is not inherently toxic. it hasn’t been poisoned or corrupted. it is a neutral concept, a kind of gender presentation, and it doesn’t make you a bad, unhealthy, or toxic person to be masculine.

masculinity does not need to be “soft” to be acceptable, it can just be neutral. because it is not toxic, just sometimes expressed in toxic ways or for toxic reasons.

frankly a reboot of this would be great if it balanced “hey here’s a genuine story and a perfectly competent Gadget” with “but he’s still awkward and a bit of a goofball”

he can’t be 100% serious grimdark-gritty, that’s not Gadget. he’d still need a healthy dose of lighthearted whimsy. just, y'know, let him be serious from time to time as the situation calls for it, and if something goes wrong, it’s not incompetence, just unfortunate circumstance.

White: Rin (means “cold”, “dignified” or “severe”.) 

Green: Eloni (meaning “lofty” or “mountain”. For a while we thought it was Elon but the little squiggle at the end is actually an “I”. Elon also means oak tree) 

Red: Zimelu (name of a fort) 

Yellow: Haym (after an Italian opera librettist, composer, theatre manager, performer, numismatist. Plus the family crest is yellow as well) 

Blue: Purl-hew (probably a pun of “pearl hue” and blue pearls are rare)
