Charlie puts alot of pressure on herself to be a benevolent force, oftentimes feeling like she needs to justify her existence, make her Dad proud, by bringing good into the world. After all; Sammy is gone, Charlotte was murdered, Henry sacrificed himself, and Aunt Jen was a causality. Charlie is the only one left, the only remnant of the Emily family. Not even by blood, she's their creation, what remains after the tragedy.

She feels that if she doesn't keep going, her creation will have meant nothing, and the Emily family will be forgotten. That it would be her fault.

While she’s very determined to solve the mysteries behind Freddy’s and save people from being hurt by the corporate conglomerate further, she doesn’t know what she wants for herself when it’s all over. She’s not even sure it will end. She feels as though she’s too far in the rabbit hole of Freddy’s to go back to the life she left behind, that the torch has been passed onto her and only she can carry its burden.

After all, this is the fate of an Emily, isn't it? This madly chaotic lifestyle packed to the brim with paranormal activity and bloody survival scenarios, this is her birthright. Oh, to be a final girl.

It's all so much to bear, but at the same time, she is right where she wants to be. We're all mad here.

When asked what she wants for her future or a career, she finds herself stumped.
