pre objectum/plushum discovery is when you're just using the plushies as a "replacement" cuddle partner for people. you don't like sleeping alone so naturally you find adorable plushies to use. they're just there to hold onto right? then you blink and you're giving them little kisses, giving them names and pronouns, the idea of dropping them makes you upset, and you start taking turns cuddling one a night because what if ones left out?

I own four build a bear plushies now (one is on its way still) and i genuinely think i can say i’m more attracted to build a bear plushies than any other brand. Im so thankful to have found out about the build a bear branch in my country. They just are irresistable to cuddle. The perfect shape and always made of the softest materials ever. Most of mine are secondhand (ebay) so i’m really excited to finally get my second completely new (and giant!!) longhorn and feel how soft and clean his untouched fur is nnmmnnnmnnm
