Me expressing my hot take of the day: Blackpink is not directly involved with the creation of their music- therefore they should not be praised for their music or artistry.  

Blinks: But really they did (insert achievement here)

Me: okay, then they should also be held accountable for their countless instances of cultural appropriation!

Blinks: No!!!!! it’s all Yg’s fault!!!! they’re sabotaging the group!!! the girls have very little control over their lives or their songs and music videos!

Me: are you saying they have no control over their content so they can’t be held accountable for it’s impact? or that they do have control over what they do and therefore should apologize when they act without racial sensitivity? If they have any creative agency at all and aren’t just puppets of the industry then they need to be heald accountable.

i’m losing my mind

“Jaemin where are we going” you giggle, Jaemin’s hands cover your eyes as he leeds you to an unknown place.

“Shh It’s a surprise” he says tickling your ear. You inwardly roll your eyes at his cheesiness, only Jaemin would do something adorable like this.

“Okay, open your eyes” he whispers, you open your eyes to a picnic blanket surrounded by fairy lights, and of course McDonald’s and milk tea.

“This is why I love you, did you know?” You smile up at your boyfriend, he laughs and gives you a kiss on your forehead. You sigh hugging him tightly as he continues to give you more kisses.

“Are you sure it isn’t because of my amazing good looks” he smirks, you scoff pushing him off you.

“Yeah right”

“Oh really?” he challenges, you nod with a shit-eating grin on your face. You decide to sit on the floor looking up at Jaemin, his smile gets wider as you test his patience.

“Alright then have it your way!” He launches himself on top of you tickling your sides until you give in.

It was a perfect date.
