Anyone got any Emmy centric fics to recommend? (I probably read most of them but I'm shooting my shot anyways)

Clark to me is someone who gets emotional easily and I think he really needs to shut it all down during the silly little last spectre shenanigans because he can't betray too much. Which of course makes him seem even MORE closed off because Luke (and everyone really) is used to him being so open.

It exhausts him too to always have to monitor himself like that at all times, not just in general, not just every word he speaks or thing he does, but also every thought and emotion that goes through his head and every expression on his face. It's easier to just withdraw from everything and everybody than to micromanage himself like that

And I think its hard to go back and let himself relax back into himself after a year of that
