The turnout for the Batfamily post was incredible so here we go for a Superman Edition!
Write below a Superman meets Danny Fenton story but choose the wildest relationship that you can think of that isn’t adoption, romantic relationship, or clone hate
For instance:
- Clark casually using X-Ray vision while searching for a bomb a villain planted and noticing that one of the random civilians he scanned has absolutely zero organs. While x-rayed he just looks like green goo. Supes goes out of his way to chat with the new meta.
- Wonder Woman introduces a new hero to the Justice League: Superman startles because the new member is his Clark Kent’s noisy as hell upstairs neighbor.
- Danny is a Janitor at the Justice League Museum. Superman accidentally dropped his key to the Fortress of Solitude that is made from a dwarf star and weighs half a million pounds. Superman gets a tap on his shoulder,
“Hi! Sorry I think you dropped this.”
Kal-El turns to see a civilian holding the key he made specifically so no one could lift and break into the fortress.
- Danny works at the corner store next to the Daily Planet and Clark is one of his favorite customers. Clark managed to walk in mid robbery; Danny in the process of crumpling the robbers gun into a ball as the would be theif is crying lying against a wall with zip ties holding his hands behind his back.
Sleepy King
The Justice League Dark caught wind of a cult trying to summon the Ghost King. A being with power so terrible and great, that all of the chaotic Infinite Realms feared him. A true tyrant. Long ago it took the effort of ghosts equal to gods to seal him away into a permeant slumber.
And now this cult wishes to wake him and bring him to the living realm. It was a race against the clock to find the ritual site and all members were called on board, magic or not. Even Constantine looked stressed.
They did find the site.
But it was too late, the ritual was completed. The entire inner circle of runes glowed before being swallowed in a column of green light. The air filled with static and a ringing that made Supergirl crumble to the ground.
The light dissipated, but there was no great figure or being of pure evil. Instead there was a boy, a teenager. He laid on the ground curled up in his sleep. He was a ghost no doubt, dressed in regal clothing.
Despite this when he stirred, everyone froze. It seemed the cold hard ground woke him up. He got up slowly and yawned, revealing his sharp fangs. Once sat up he opened his bleary eyes to look around. He looked confused and tired, really tired.
"Where am I?" He mumbled. "I was trying to get some sleep." Constantine internally screaming, latches onto that last sentence. He glances over to Batman. He caught that last part too. Batman approaches calmly and crouches down in front of the boy king. Hardening his resolve, Batman takes on a gentle tone.
"Hey kiddo, sorry we woke you. Lets get you back to bed yeah?" The boy nodded in agreement. He pulled himself to his feet before looking around in a circle. "Where did my blanket go?" He asked rather sadly. Batman is quick to shed his own cape and drape it over him. "You can borrow my cape until we get you a new one." He nodded again, pulling the black fabric around himself.
John quickly summoned a portal door, while Batman led the King through it. John threw looks around at everyone. Everyone could tell he was mouthing the words. 'Find me a fucking blanket now'
Running on the logic of getting the king away from Earth, away from graves and the undead, that could give him power. The portal led to the Watch Tower.
Batman took advantage of the King's bleary state to send a base wide alert for all noncritical members to evacuate immediately. With a priority that death adjacent members leave first. "The stars are pretty." Bruce looked at the boy staring out the window in wonder. He almost looked like a normal kid, almost.
"Yeah they are, it's pretty late so we should get you back to bed." He nodded, going along with Batman's gentle coaxing.
He takes the boy to an unused bedroom. Making sure the room isn't dusty and that lights are dimmed. He glances back to see about a dozen different leaguers all holding blankets, one thought to bring extra pillows. The bed was pretty barren with only a single pillow and a thin bedsheet. So Bruce took a thick duvet, one of the fluffier blankets and a second pillow from his team before shooing them away.
The boy ended up keeping his cape, mumbling how it was warm. He tucked the boy in, before quietly exiting the room and turning off the light. He was pretty sure the King fell back to sleep before he even reached the light switch.
After the door shut, he made direct eye contact with John. "Constantine." They needed to figure out what the hell was going on.
Prompt: Batman must never kill, it goes against his code. If he were to take a life as a faceless vigilante, he may never be able to stop himself from abusing that power—that trust. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne’s legal team has been prepping since Dick’s first civilian kidnapping. He’d hoped it wouldn’t come to this, but Joker decided to crash the gala celebrating Jason’s revival.
Batman has to be above everything, but Bruce Wayne just has to be a dad.
Prompt 47
Hear me out. Amity Park gets shifted in universes slightly- maybe it’s from Pariah, maybe it was a wish, maybe they did so on purpose to escape something- and they end up in the DC-verse. The thing is, thanks to the media blackout and the shields, no one in the new universe notices. The Amityville Paekers know about outside, can go on the internet and leave whenever they want, but they’ve all become more than a little liminal. More than a little off. Movements too graceful, eyes too sharp, ears too pointed and teeth more akin to predatory fangs. Skin with a soft glow, hair moving as though underwater or being tussled by the wind- bodies seemingly unaging after a certain point. They’re so ecto-contaminated that they’re unsure they can even be counted as human anymore, and it wasn’t like the city wasn’t already practically self sufficient. Add in a portal or two through the Infinite Realms to get supplies to start a few fields or some fish farms and well, they’re pretty good. Sure it’s resulted in them using a mixture of modern and older money and having several extinct plants and animals running around but that’s fine. There’s magic in this world! Actual magic, that they can learn! And use? Oh this makes rebuilding after a sparring incident go so much faster!
This results in the hero who stumbles across this place to believe they’ve stumbled across some sort of city of fae or elves.
So I've seen some stuff on here about the idea of "cryptid batman", and I'd like to bring something to the table.
there is a concept in DC comics called The Green, a fundamental energy that controls plant life, this is where Poison Ivy gets a big chunk of her power. Now where my point comes in is the fact that this isn't the only one of these forces, such as the clear, or the red, so it could be feasible that there are more we are unaware of.
Now we can speak on the hypothetical concept of The Dark, and The Bat-Man being it's champion, after all these forces choose champions based on aligned attributes, so it makes sense that Darkness itself would choose The Dark Knight of Gotham. Now the question is how would this affect him? he's still human but he's also The Batman, not much is needed for this not so mere mortal. It's likely The Dark's boons would start off as subtle at first, a glancing blow here a convenient shadow there and so on. However as fear and madness rises in Gotham (as it is want to do) the dark would need to give it's dark knight greater blessings to maintain the balance, which would result the Bat becoming more uncanny as the nights go on, dodging bullets like dark smoke, scaling walls with gnarled claws, sinking into shadows like water, his eye's shining in the night and still unseen, his cape twisting into shadowy wings gliding across the rooftops, slowly becoming the creature this city needs. Mind you Bruce is still there, still human, still the socialite, still the playboy with too much money and daddy issues, but he isn't always Bruce, when he is Batman he is more, when Bruce puts on the cowl he is akin more to twisted living darkness than mere mortal, Moving with the grace and mirth of the shadow of a savage beast, hunting for justice and vengeance with an insatiable apatite, it is Gotham's greatest fear, and The Dark's greatest champion, for he is darkness, he is vengeance, he is the night.
Just had a dream of Cryptid Batman somehow getting summoned to the Marvel world & adopting/yoinking the Winter Soldier. And I have never been more tempted to write something but have no clue where I'd even begin lmao.
In @puppetmaster13u (and possibly @phoenixcatch7 ?) Meat Marionette au, I have an idea that Batman and Gordons relationship would be one of the few kept relatively similar. Gordon is called the Bat Whisperer, Batman usually only talks to him, he was the one to turn the GCPD to Batmans side, Gordon is slowly figuring Batmans language out (both literally and not, he knows his name is whistle warble whistle and he’s figuring out more, but he also has the best grasp on Bruces mind and decision making for anyone not in the Batfam), and Batman is a mix of loyal guard dog and stray cat who steals your food to Gordon.
This originally came from this idea:
Earlier this week
Gordon watching supers on a police TV: I know they're doing good, but l'd like to see them deal with a Gotham scare for once
*Batmans leaves from where he was watching through the window*
Gordon: I guess it's not so good of an idea...
Now
Gordon: where's my phone? *sigh* Did it get stolen again?
Window: *high pitched whistle* *warble* *high pitched whistle*
Gordon, recognising Batmans call/name for him: Batman?
Batman: *hands Gordon his phone*
Gordon, suspiciously: thank you... where did you find this and since when did you return my stuff?
Batman: *waits silently*
Gordon, looks down at the phone screen: *sees a brightly-coloured blur screaming on his phone* you.. gave them a Gotham scare
Batman: *chuffs*
This keeps happening -although not frequently- and one day this is the story:

One of the best writing advice I have gotten in all the months I have been writing is "if you can't go anywhere from a sentence, the problem isn't in you, it's in the last sentence." and I'm mad because it works so well and barely anyone talks about it. If you're stuck at a line, go back. Backspace those last two lines and write it from another angle or take it to some other route. You're stuck because you thought up to that exact sentence and nothing after that. Well, delete that sentence, make your brain think because the dead end is gone. It has worked wonders for me for so long it's unreal
"The Entity Known as Phantom has finally been Discorperated."
The rest of the broadcast faded to background noise as the Teen Titans sat in stunned silence. The pride from the announcer, in his all white suit and dark sunglasses, felt thick and oily and slimy as it made their hackles raise.
They'd heard of the G.I.W. a few times in passing, but even Phantom had brushed the group off as a non-issue, saying he'd been dealing with and evading them for three years. The group was supposedly as incompetent as incompetent got.
So then how? And when? It'd only been a few days since he'd said he was going to visit his sister. He wasn't even expected back for another week and a half.
How had they gotten their hands on Phantom, who could consciously control how physical he was at a given moment?
And how could they have "Discorperated" a ghost?
Would Phantom return?
Could Phantom return?
What, exactly, did they mean by "Discorperated" anyway?
Each member of the team was now looking at each other as thoughts swirled and unasked questions remained unanswered. The News was muted, though no one could quite remember who had hit the control. "Tense" wasn't quite the right word to describe the air, but it was awfully close.
Kon snapped his head to the side, however, breaking the silent group staring contest when he heard the nearly silent wet sniffle from behind the couch. Straining his hearing and every other power under his command didn't reveal anything else to him, however. He didn't hide anything when asked, and it gave them the slightest hope that, just maybe, their friend might still be around.
---
The Justice League had cracked down hard after one of their own, a hero, a child, had been hurt. Possibly permanently.
It only took Batman and Oracle a week to access the G.I.W. test logs. Find the video and written reports of the direct application of Ectoranium leading to "Destabilizing of the Concentrated Ectoplasm at the Core of the Entity."
Superman had cursed when those words were read at the next League meeting, his hands clasped tightly in front of his mouth as he trembled with barely restrained fury. He wasn't the only one, either. They all felt like they had failed.
---
There were riots, ongoing, demanding justice for the ghost, the boy, who'd saved so many people and never asked for anything in return. Everyone who knew anyone was speaking up, interviewing with talk shows, news broadcasts, podcasts, papers, and magazines. Word was getting out everywhere, and even other countries were having protests. After all, the League protected the world, and the Titans had gone just as far.
---
A Shadow seemed to have taken up residence in the Titan's Tower. A few weeks had passed now since Phantom had last been seen.
It didn't take long for word to spread, and now they were holding a small seance with Zatanna and Raven. An untouched Ouija board and radio set in the center of the small circle. Lit candles formed a loose circle around their circle of friends.
One of the candles briefly flickered a signature green as Zatanna led, offering the radio and board for whatever spirit was with them to use, but not to keep. The radio briefly lit green before sputtering and dying.
"Spirit with us, what is your name?" Names hold power, after all, and with a name they could banish the spirit if they need to.
The plamchet slowly moved across the board, pausing deliberately to spell D-A-N-N-Y.
"Danny, do you know the name, Phantom?" Words had to be very deliberate with unknown spirits, after all. Zatanna was more familiar with the rules, so she led for now.
The plamchet slid over to YES.
"Danny, does Phantom still exist in some way beyond memory and word and deed?"
YES.
"Danny, will you tell us how you know Phantom?" Indirect, with an opportunity to elaborate. Not every spirit would answer a question like that, but if the spirit was especially helpful, it just might.
YES. A-M. Hope blossomed for a moment, and in the pause, the plamchet continued. D-A-N-N-Y-P-H-A-N-T-O-M.
"Phantom's name is Danny? And you are Phantom, Danny? Is that correct?" The last thing they wanted was false hope, so better to clear everything up if they could.
YES. YES. YES.
Hopeful looks were shared around before excitement filled the room. Their friend was here, still. Zatanna gave a nod for the Titans to keep going.
"How are you feeling, P?"
W-E-A-K.
T-I-R-E-D.
"Is there anything we can do to help? We miss you, man."
There was a pause before it moved again. M-I-S-S-U-2.
S-T-A-R-S-?
"You wanna stargaze with us tonight, P?"
YES P-L-S.
"I'll get the blankets!"
Damian: How have you gain so much strength? You are not formally trained and yet you give both my parents a difficult time in combat
Anti-hero Danny: The power of love has given me strength
Damian: Disgusting. If this is some moral lecture-
Danny: Oh no, I mean love literally powers me. Any form of it, even just a love for combat. Your parents really like to fight and fuels me during my fights with them.
Damian: I hate everything about you
Danny: I'm getting stronger with every second you talk to me so we both know that's a lie.
Damian blushing: I'm not in love with you!
Danny blinking: huh well a few seconds ago it was love build on respect and desire to fight me but now it's romantic.....want to go on a date?
Damian: ......yes
Danny: Cool. Pick you up at 8 tonight. I'll go in my civilian form, so if a fourteen year old human knocks on your door later, that's me! Bye! *Portals away*
Damian whiping out his phone: Jon, you aren't going to believe this. Kon's dating advice worked.
Jon: First, I'm happy you got a date! Second, how dare you go to my elder brother for dating advice when I'm your best friend.
Dick falls in love
So! Dick was sitting at his favorite Cafe in his Civvies one day, when he overheard a Barista talking to his friends the next table over.
"So how are you liking Gotham so far?" The Goth looking friend asked.
"Actually I love it, its so much fun to see peoples reactions when I don't react to dangerous situations." Said the Barista, "Even getting mugged on the way home was entertaining. The guy was so disturbed by me being so Nonchalant during the whole thing, he forgot to take my wallet."
Then the friend in the yellow shirt spoke up, "You know I never really got 'nonchalant', why can't people ever just be 'chalant'?"
Dick almost dropped his coffee.
He was in love.
After a good reveal gone right, the Fenton Parents fail. They can't stop the GIW from nuking the Ghost Zone. They can't stop the GIW from destroying their reality or world. But they can save their kids.
The GIW are building their own portal, and no one can stop them.
The adults of Amity weren't exposed to Ecto Contaminants during their formative years. They were exposed to them once their bodies had stopped developing.
But the kids?
The Fenton kids are very Ecto Contaminated. It's a part of their blood. It forms in their bones. Danny is able to survive moreso than Jazz, due to being half ghost, but Jazz has enough in her to survive as well.
That being said, the adults wouldn't be able to survive this insane idea.
But the kids have a chance.
They knock the kids out, round them up, and hook them to life supporting cryo-stasis that are powered by Ecto. These same cryo-stasis units are also designed to be space pods, courtesy of the Fentons, because they are supposed to carry the kids to a place that the sensors deem safe.
And that might require going through a portal that opens into space.
Then they quietly fire Danny and Jazz into the Ghost Zone, hoping for the best as they dismantle their own portal.
They need to put as much distance between Danny and Jazz and the GIW's entry point as they can, after all.
Across the city, Vlad Masters takes a page out of their book and does the same. He sends Dan, who was incredibly hard to knock out, and Dani off in the same manner.
Then he, too, destroys his portal.
He thinks he can, with Maddie and...ugh, Jack's help, disrupt the GIW plan.
But just in case he fails, he sends the kids off.
~~~~~~
In a particular corn field, four shuttles, one after the other after the other, slam into the earth.
Martha Kent, from her front porch, stares at pillars of dust that got tossed into the air, her cup of coffee frozen halfway to her lips.
Well, then.
DPxDC Danny's Unconventional Pets
I've seen a post about Vulture Culture (by @ender-reader), I've seen some posts about Danny befriending crows, stray cats and dogs and bats in the Batcave.
But what if it's rats? Gotham has lots of those, and, going along with a scenario of runaway, homeless Danny who is dumpster-diving on regular basis, he would see lots of them. And rats are smart.
Cue Danny the Piper of Hamelin Gotham, feral child who would fight you for stale leftover pizza, whose eyes always slide just over your shoulder like he sees something else behind you. The local cryptid of Gotham alleyways, who no one can track down but who somehow shows up in the most bizarre places because the rats told me you are here.
Imagine a Bat of your choice stumbling across him in an abandoned apartment, only it's not a child they see but a moving pile of a few dozen rats covering Danny like a blanket for warmth.
Also, rats are scary when they decide to fight you. Danny Phantom, the twisted Disney princess, with a street rat on his shoulder and a cold, guarded glare that is just a bit too green.
And, when given a home - any home, be it Batdoption or a Rogue - he brings his friends with him. Street rats click their teeth and nuzzle in his hands, and steal pieces of crackers out of his hands because rats are opportunists.
Just ✨️rat Danny✨️
Aspencore
Immortal Everlasting Trio who have been exploring the Infinite Realms for the last few centuries. The three of them are flying, braiding their paths as they make their way through the Realms.
“How do you think Ellie is doing in her current incarnation?” Nightshade asks of her partners,
“Hmm probably well, she was exploring the galaxy this time right? I could always check?” Pharaoh responds, a keyboard made of sandstone appears at his fingertips.
“She feels content.” Said Phantom, soothing the worries of the other two. The stars that are freckles on his face brighten with the comment.
They swirl around each other in lazy patterns, unknowing of the passage of time, when Phantom feels a tug at his core. The trio circle up, his partners noticing the shift in mood.
“I don’t recognize this one.” He mutters to himself, placing a hand on the center of his chest. “It’s none of the family, but it is a bit familiar.” He furrowed his brow, trying to trace the sensation to its source. He closed his eyes and felt the pull of magic. “It doesn’t feel malicious, there’s desperation and curiosity for sure, but I feel no ill intent.” He thought for a moment. “I’m going to follow it. I want to know why this feels familiar”
Nightshade formed a purple bloom and tucked it behind one of his ears and gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek. “Be safe.”
Pharaoh gently took his hand and kissed it, bestowing a glass bangle to his wrist. “Don’t make stupid decisions,” he smirked, “without us.”
Phantom laughed and in a flash of bright white light he was gone.
* * *
With a flash of light so bright it temporarily blinded, Phantom appeared in a summoning circle. The room he now occupied was large, a massive sofa made up a good portion of the room and there was a kitchen off to the side. Turning around, there was a large screen with even larger windows behind it. He turned back and now saw the people in the room.
One was green with a unitard on, one was sitting criss cross in front of some candles, a book and a small cauldron, one was floating and had a mass of bright pink hair, one was a cyborg of some kind and stood at the ready with a cannon for an arm and the last was shielding his eyes with a black cape.
“Who summons me?” Phantom asked in a far quieter tone than the teens apparently expected.
The one who appeared to have done the ritual stood and spoke first. “Mighty Phantom, we seek your assistance in dealing with a massive threat to our world. The demon Trigon looks to the Earth as his next conquest.” They took a breath and looked down. “He intends to use my power to do it, and I do not have the strength to stop him.”
Phantom settled his feet on the ground and placed a hand on their shoulder. “Peace young one. Why don’t we start with introductions? As you know, I am Phantom, he/him, now who has managed to summon me?”
“I am Raven, she/her, the rest here are my team the Teen Titans.” She turned to her team, they all seemed shocked. “I apologize for them, usually they take things in stride a lot easier. This is Beast Boy, he/him, Starfire she/her, Cyborg, he/him, and Robin, he/him.”
“Hmm, may I see the text you used to summon me?” He gestured to the book on the floor. “I was not aware of anything that could summon me in this realm. It is familiar to me though, I can’t place why.”
Raven raised the book into his hand. He leafed through it humming to himself before stopping on a photo of a note that looked familiar. He smiled to himself, remembering the time a century ago to him that himself and his partners helped a small civilization and they left a way for the leader to contact them if they needed help. He skimmed the next few paragraphs and then laughed and closed the book.
“I’ll help. In fact, my partners and I will help. It’s been a long while since we were in a mortal realm. I will return in a week’s time your time to discuss what we need to do. This will work to summon us if we forget or if your danger arrives early.” He magicked a paper with a seal on it and handed it to her. “I must discuss with my partners and will do research on this Trigon. Thank you for calling us, we’ve been aimless for too many decades. Have a good night.” He vanished in another flash of light.
* * *
Phantom appeared in a flash of light cackling as he tumbled across the chess board his partners were playing on, scattering the flowers and sandstone pieces across the green sky.
“Beloved you know not to do that,” Nightshade gathered the giggling king into her lap, Pharaoh moving to lean against her shoulder and push the hair from the eyes of Phantom, “but what has you laughing so?”
Phantom mimed wiping a tear from his eye. “Remember that civilization we helped out a century ago? Well apparently a few hundred years have passed in that world and the people we helped revered us as gods. A sorceress summoned us for help defeating a demon. They were so cute, little teenage heroes like we once were.” He sighed and settled into the arms of his lovers. “Have either of you heard of Trigon?”
The Feast!
Inspired by this post
Danny, now an adult, works as an engineer and tech developer for Wayne Enterprises. One day, he has to bring his daughter, Ellie, into work with him. Ellie’s school had been temporarily shut down after a rouge attack, and the campus isn’t yet safe for the students to return to.
Danny had been ready to call into work to request the time off he’d need to watch his daughter until the school could be re-opened. However, his bosses seemed to be aware of the situation, and the predicament faced by many of the parents who worked for them. And a company wide email was sent out advertising Bring Your Kid To Work Day! Wayne Enterprises was offering all employees with children too young to be left home alone unsupervised the opportunity to bring their children in to work with them for the week, as that was the timeframe thus far given for when the school would be safely up and running again.
Danny is relieved that he wouldn’t need to take any unpaid time off. Nor try to find a last minute babysitter who’d A: Danny could trust to watch his little star, and B: be willing and able to watch her.
When he tells her about coming to work with him, Ellie is ecstatic! She gets to see where her dad works! And she gets to meet his work-friends! She’s so excited! She wants to make a good impression, so when Danny has gone off to begin cooking dinner, Ellie begins to make plans.
The next day, Ellie has woken up early and already gotten herself ready. She decided to wear a large poofy jacket and a pink too too over the top of her jeans. She has her backpack, filled with things to entertain her.
Once they’ve arrived and Danny has introduced Ellie to a few of his co-workers and some of their own children on the way to his desk. Along the way, Danny and Ellie pass by several offices and a we meeting rooms. It’s in one of these meeting rooms that Ellie spots her first target.
She quickly slips into the room before Danny can notice she’s run off and approaches the young man, teenager?, hunched over some papers reading intently. He’s got bags under his eyes that rivalled Danny’s back when he was still actively protecting Amity. He looks like he’s living off of nothing but caffeine and spite alone, and hasn’t had a proper nights sleep in months.
None of the other various businessmen and women in the room have noticed her presence yet, as she silently wanders up to the sleepy boy-man. She reaches into her pocket and just as she’s about to pull out her little gift, Danny has burst into the room frantically having noticed his child has slipped away. Again.
All eyes are on Danny as he apologises profusely for the intrusion, swooping in to take Ellie’s hand. He’s still apologising, now to the sleepy boy-man who is looking at Ellie in awe, like he couldn’t believe he hadn’t noticed her enter the room.
While her dad was still rambling Ellie quickly pulls an orange from her pocket and hands it to the boy-man. He takes it with a curious and perplexed look on his face.
“Ellie,” Danny sighs, “not again.”
Ellie grins and reaches into her jackets to pull out another orange. Danny swipes it before she can hand it to the businessman sitting next to the boy-man. She pulls out another one, and as Danny is grabbing it she slips from his grip and ducks under the table. Ellie runs to the centre of the room and unzips her backpack. She tips it upside down, and what looks to be 20 oranges spill out and roll across the floor.
With a feral grin, Ellie picks up an orange and throws her hands into the air in triumph, and shouts. “LET US FEAST!”
Okay we always have Danny being a cryptid in Gotham...
But what if we have eldritch Danny being a cryptid in Metropolis? And everyone in Metropolis is normal about it, it's the out of towners who have trouble with their "little" jellyfish/dragon/bird/skeleton cryptid, that the locals have named Moon-Moon caue sometimes the darling means well..
But well Moon-Moon is a bit of an idiotic genius.
And when I say everyone in Metropolis is normal about their local Cryptid, I'm including the Super Family. Cause that adds and even more hilarious edge to it.
Ok ok ok so hear me out. I've seen a lot of stories and prompts where the Joker is scared of Danny. But honestly? Big scary ghost? Whatever, doesn't phase him. He's seen scarier. He's done scarier. Try again.
But you know what has been actually proven to scare the Joker? The IRS. So imagine this man's utter horror when one day an IRS agent just appears in his hideout and lets him know that he still owes them money. The agent gives him a deadline to pay his remaining taxes then leaves.
Joker immediately starts scrambling. He needs to come up with this money fast. No way he's making an enemy out of the IRS. But before that, Johnny? Find my accountant and give him the most painfully funny death you can think of.
For the next few days, Joker is running around, trying to collect the remaining money that he owes but he still doesn't have enough. As the IRS agent so helpfully reminds him every time he shows up.
On the day of the deadline Joker is still just short of what he owes so he pulls out his trump card. Begging.
That's how Batman finds one deranged clown killer on his hands and knees begging for a loan or at the very least some protection and he is utterly confused. It's at that moment when a young man appears out of nowhere.
"I'm sorry. It looks like you still haven't paid all of your taxes," he says in a frighteningly cheerful voice before he grabs the Joker by his collar and drags him into the shadows.
Invited to a Ghost Ball
Red Hood: WHERE THE HELL AM I?!
Robin: I wish I knew.
Red Hood: Great, I'm a babysitter too.
(The ghosts find Robin adorable)
Sometime the next day
Fright Knight (dragging suitcases): Remind me why we're coming to this mortal world?
Danny: To find my knight.
Fright Knight: >:(
Pariah Dark: Can I at least enslave this world?
Danny: No.
Danny: You can enslave the local fashion boutiques or something.
Danny: They'll be horrified to have to sew clothes your height.
Pariah Dark: ... acceptable.
Later at Wayne Manor
Tim: So someone bought the house next door, despite the fact that we started a rumor that it was haunted.
Dick: You just have to admit it was a bad plan.
Steph: Can we just harass the new neighbors until they move out?
Damian, standing at the window with binoculars: You idiots don't even know the scale of the problem.
Damian: I'm pretty sure that huge gothic castle wasn't there yesterday.
The royals (and one knight) found out that this world has meta and no GIW. Did they really think they'd mix with the crowd. White-haired flying guy? Fine. Knight with flaming purple hair? Fine. Giant skinny creature with horns and a full head of Lazarus Pit-colored hair? Well, crap. Lay low failed.
This is the most beautiful thing I have ever read
Being friends — not just colleagues — with Bruce Wayne, as a reporter, must be a fucking nightmare. Everything Clark knows about him is off the record. Clark has unique insight into world events, WE business, and Gotham politics, and he can’t use ANY of it.
Lois asks him casually about [large unfolding global event/Gotham kidnapping/etc] and Clark’s jaw snaps shut so quickly, it jolts everything in the apartment. They have a code phrase, and eventually a code look, for I know this but I can’t tell you how and please don’t ask me about it ever again.
She makes the mistake, one day, of asking him about Jason Todd’s death. Clark’s eyes spark red before he closes them, jaw clenched tight enough to form diamonds. And Lois’ job is to try, very very hard, not to follow down the burgeoning mental connection between Jason Todd and I can’t tell you about this.
I kinda wanna see:
Of which Jack Fenton and Maddie Fenton giving their Abyss-given powers of Fuck Paperwork (IRS is afraid of this couple) to their children.
See, thing is with GIW, it claimed itself as a government organization. And what better way to dismantle it from the inside? Well, not GIW, but from the government itself. For safety sake (via Sam and Jazz's argument; it's not like FBI and the likes employ ghost weapons right??? Ancients he hoped not).
Looking from outside in, since DP universe uses technology that's still somewhat backdated (PDA? Tho maybe that's also due to being in small town?), one can assume that the government uses runners/paperback archives instead of 100% technological and the likes. So one would think a runner is needed, between one part of government to the other.
So Danny applies to be one. A runner.
Ofc it's a bit of a leap, from wanting to be NASA to a runner for the government, but NASA is still in the payroll of the government, so schematics. This can always be a High King Danny in training (and Clockwork told him that it's a good training as a governmental reference or something), but it's really up to whoever wanting to continue my idea into their own but I digress.
And somehow he's highly sought after coz he's very quick in his feet.
And ofc Danny notices the power given unto him via paperwork he's to deliver to the other department.
Added with how he got the Power of Fuck Paperwork, well.
I think it'll bound to be a lot of shenanigans that possibly won't be linked to him. Somehow. Coz Fenton luck amirite?
Tho like.
... It would be funnier, I think, if it's a DPxDC universe since in DC we have the likes of Amanda Waller in the gov and the fact that there's always SOMETHING happening in DC world (ah yes, attempt X in conquering the Earth) and thus I think the government would be a bit of a mess, behind the scenes.
