I know my tumblr claims only positivity and pastels, but just tonight I found out my ex, we had dated three years, has posted about me. I’ve had zero contact with her for over a year, and to find out she has seen photos of me and poked fun at me struck a tense cord. She was extremely abusive. I admit, I did some things I was not proud of in our relationship, but it never warranted bruises and calling me a whore across the courtyard. She had every friend of hers calling me derogatory terms and I had to be walked to classes by friends because she threatened me on multiple occasions during our three years together about if i left her. I moved to another state to get away from her. She was, no, is nothing more than a coward. After more than a year apart I am excelling in my classes and on the road to graduation. I’m stronger and I believe in myself. I’m tempted to start trying to date again, even. To anyone who has broken away from an abuser, I applaud you. I’m sorry for the negative feelings, but this was the only place I felt safe posting this.
