it would be so lame if he just died I mean...Varric HAS to face his fears his mistakes all of the things he tried so hard to run away from he really needs to face it and to LEARN from it he is stagnating as a character there is no satisfying ending to his beliefs crisis yet and if he simply dies... there will never be? I want him to live so fucking bad now not because he's bioware's favorite but despite it I want to torture Varric with his memories of Solas Anders Hawke Bartrand his mother with his own hatred for his dwarven heritage with his dislike for responsibility with his desire to hide from reality in the world of fiction I want him to finally admit what he is indeed just as stuck in the past as his parents are death is an easy way out and oh boy I want him to suffer HARD so I hope he is alive but not so well
