“And you…?” You removed your headset when Hongjoong stopped talking.

“Did I say that out loud?” Hongjoong’s face reddened and he stuttered, “I-I di-did?” You pressed your hands to the sides of his face, squishing his chubby cheeks, “And you were saying?” You teased swaying side to side, hands still firmly planted on the side of his face. He watched as a small grin appeared on your face. 

Hongjoong decided to uno reverse on you. He regained his composure and swatted your hands away, “And I was meaning to do this.” He pressed a kiss on your lips and your eyes widened. “Because I love you.” Hongjoong cheekily replied, bopping your nose upon seeing your shocked expression.

“I miss you.” Soonyoung laid in bed as he cradles his phone next to his ear. “Me too. I wish I had you all to myself, but Seventeen needs a hype man.” He hears your rueful laugh and relaxes a bit. 

“Tell me about your day.” Soonyoung heard you ask and he rattled off about how smooth dancing rehearsal went, the food he ate with the Seventeen members, what he bought for you and his anticipation for the concert the next day. 

The concert was also the sole reason that Soonyoung opted to stay at the dorms which were closer to Pledis Entertainment. He had wanted so desperately to be in your presence. 

Soonyoung paused to catch his breath but when he heard nothing from your end, he questioned, “Sweetie, are you okay?”

“Yeah! I’m fine. I just...feel pretty lonely in bed right now. I want you beside me.” Soonyoung couldn’t see you but could already picture the pout on your face as you hug the big teddy bear he had won for you at a carnival. He had to bring your spirits up and he thought of a pick-up line, “Kiss me if I’m wrong, but dinosaurs still exist right?” A moment of silence passed and Soonyoung felt a little upset that he wasn’t beside you to cheer you up.

“I’m sorry for being unable to make you a little happier—” He then listened to your soft, partly suppressed laughter and a big smile was up on his face. “I thought you were really sad about me not being with you.”

“Soonyoung, you can safely assume that I’m smiling whenever I text or call you. Hearing your voice makes me feel a thousand times better, though it would be best to have you beside me. The bed is lonely.”

He heard the rustling of the bedsheets and knew that you were about to sleep. “Go ahead and sleep. It’s still daytime here.” “Mhm. But I want to hear your voice again. I don’t want to be the last one to end the call.” Soonyoung strained his ears and could make out more rustling sounds. 

“How about I sing you a song and I end the call so I’ll be the last one?” He took your silence as an agreement and begun to sing one of Seventeen’s songs: Smile Flower.

“그래서 눈물 나도록 고맙고 더 미안해 꽉 안아주고만 싶어도 왠지 모르는 불안함에...”

(kinda U P S E T about how little screen time they received,, but in the end it's still a meaningful experience for them!! since it's their first time at MAMAs,, hopefully next year they get more performance opportunities!!)

“Don’t lie.” You poked Jongho’s chest. “I’m not jealous.” “Are you really?” You arched your eyebrow. “What did I do that made you this jealous?” You hoped you didn’t sound like you were teasing him, but in your heart, both of you already know that you both would stay loyal to one another.

“I told you, I’m not jealous.” He repeated one more time, but this time the tips of his ears were red. You squint your eyes at him, “Then why are you so distant today? I just wanted a hug and you pushed me away.” You pouted. Jongho grasped your hands, “It’s...just today, you know. Yunho hyung was a little too close for my liking.” You recalled earlier today when you were playing with Yunho; It was a simple game of catch and the loser would have to do a silly dare. Yunho had somehow lost and that turned into a mini tickle session as you were trying to catch him properly. 

“You know that Yunho is my good friend right? We were just playing a game. As a matter of fact, I won the game and Yunho had to put on the chicken headband and b-boy!” You showed him a picture as proof and Jongho bit his lip to hiding his growing smile, “It’s funny how you actually won.” “Of course! I will never lose to Yunho. So, you aren’t jealous now right?” You lightly swung his sleeve back and forth. Jongho hid his pleased smile behind his sweater. 

“Can I get my hugs now?” “Anytime.”

“That’s so cute!” San commented from your right. You were busy needle felting a small doll. Eight small dolls, to be exact; a unique doll keychain for the ATEEZ members to celebrate their first anniversary. 

“You scared me, San. Don’t you have something to do now?” You quickly shoved the other seven dolls into a box and under the small coffee table and thankfully he hadn’t noticed. You were making his doll now and tried to hide it behind some felt. “Why are you pushing me away, I wanted to see you in action.” San sat down beside you and gingerly touched the felt scattered across the table. 

“Sorry. If you had decided to jump at me from behind, this needle would go right through my finger.” You hadn’t mean to hurt him, but you also didn’t want to show any of the ATEEZ members your progress. It was a surprise after all. “Teach me?” San’s gaze bore into your eyes and you had to look away, “What?” 

“I want to make a tiny Shiber so I can hang it around on my bag!” San produced Shiber and proudly placed him on his lap. “Okay. I have enough hazel brown felt here for you. It’s going to be this big.” You made a circle with your index and thumb and San nodded his head, “That’s big enough! What do I do now?” You went through the steps one by one with him, making sure he hadn’t injured himself. San happily giggled when the felt started taking shape. “There, you got it!” 

You decided to go back to felting the last doll behind San’s back. “What are you doing sitting behind me like that?” “Don’t turn around. I’m making...something.” You moved to sit on the sofa while San was in front of you studiously poking at the felt figure. “Can I see?” “Nope.” You gave a little laugh when San tried to turn around but you blocked him. “Help me with the keychain part?” You scooted forward and helped him, “Here, you place a little bit of felt and hold the ring here and stab it.” San’s nimble fingers held them in place and you offered to poke the felt. “Yay! A mini Shiber!” San excitedly danced after hooking it onto his bag. 

“Can I watch you finish whatever you were doing behind my back?” San pleaded with a smile on his face. “No~! It’s a secret.” You dragged out your no and used your body as a shield while making the doll. “Then I’m going to wait here. Until you finish so I can see what you made.” “Fine by me.” You stretched out and grabbed the blanket on the sofa, throwing it on San. You laughed at his adorable expression when he emerged from the blanket. “I’m going to camp right here.” He fidgeted after getting onto the sofa and fixed his gaze on you, but you made sure he still couldn’t see the keychain you were making. 

(It’s a good one hour later when you actually finish and you held the San keychain up next to his face. “Does really look like him. Happy ATEEZ day! You’ve worked so hard for this, San.” You placed the keychain next to his sleeping form and ruffled his hair.)
