Having Mingi as your boyfriend meant that most things were placed in a higher shelf to accommodate his height. And it’s one of those days when Mingi forgets to put your favourite mug on the lowest shelf. You struggled as you stretch your hands out as much as you could, only to grab thin air. “Ah, Mingi is so dead when he comes back.” You silently cursed at how high your mug is. You just wanted to unwind by making tea for yourself, but your mug was sky high and it peeked out from the shelf, teasing you for your short stature. 

“Geez.” You looked around for a stool or anything to prop yourself up to grab the mug. Frustrated, you blew a strand of hair out of your face and you attempted to jump up on the counter. But before you even placed your hands down on the marble top to climb up, Mingi materialized from behind you with a giggle. 

“Here, let me.” He stifled his laughter behind his sweater as he easily reached out for your mug. You made a face at Mingi and took the cup from his hands. “I told you to put it on the lowest shelf! Why do you always do this to me?” You gently punched his arm and he grasped his bicep, “I like to think that I am your knight in shining armor. How about that?” Mingi shot you a heart-throbbing smile and you rolled your eyes in mock amusement. You shot him a glare and he held his hands up, “Fine, fine. I like to see you struggle so I can help you because you’re so cute.”

“You know, if you came back a minute later, I would have locked you out of the house.” 

“You wouldn’t do that. You love me too much to do that.”

“Listen to this.” Woozi placed his headphones on your head and pressed the play button. You bopped along to the quirky, plinking keys. Both of you were in the studio listening to Woozi’s latest compositions. “Have you thought of a title?” You removed the headset and returned it to him. 

You leaned back on the roller chair and gazed at him, staring at his chocolate brown orbs. 

Did he know that whenever he was discussing music-making, his eyes would light up and his hands would move animatedly to the music? 

Did he also know that his eyes radiate so much excitement from just thinking about his compositions? 

His blonde hair stuck out at odd angles underneath his black snapback, from running his hand through his hair one too many times. He was outright serious yet adorable.

“...and because it has a summertime vibe maybe Summer? Are you even listening to me?” His eyebrows arched and you asked, “I’m sorry, what? I keep getting lost in your eyes.” You weren’t even kidding. His mouth gaped and his face flushed a baby pink. “W-What? I-I…” You giggled at his confusion, “I like it when your passion kicks you into overdrive. Your eyes tell a whole different story.”

[ On the way home, your phone dinged and you spotted a message sent by Woozi, “Right after you left I had a brilliant idea! Our title is going to be ‘Oh My!’ And it is about falling in love! Thank you so much for earlier~!” and finally followed by “You’re the best inspiration.” You chuckled to yourself and pocketed your phone, still smiling to yourself. ]

“I’m kind of nervous.” Wonwoo swung your hands back and forth. “What do you mean? You’ll pass with flying colors!” You assured him, squeezing his hands as a form of comfort. “Yeah, I need to do well. Otherwise, who is going to bring you out for dates?” Wonwoo lightly kissed your cheek and you shrug your shoulders, “Seungcheol would come if I called him.” You pretend to think about it to make Wonwoo jealous and he playfully hit you. 

“I’ll make him think twice about bringing my girlfriend anywhere.” Wonwoo pushed up his glasses and gave an angry face. Nevertheless, he looks adorable to you and you couldn’t help but laugh at the mention of “girlfriend” and how possessive he was of you. “Mr Jeon Wonwoo? Please follow me outside for the road test.” 

“It’s the final test! You got this!” You encouraged him. “You forgot something.” He leaned close to you his breath was practically fanning your face. You good-naturedly rolled your eyes and tip-toed to peck his lips. “That’s all the luck I can give you. I love you Jeon Wonwoo!” You made a heart above your head while laughing. He chuckled as he followed the in-charge outside while you watch the entire test happen from a room. 

“Yo! Wish Wonwoo good luck from all of us!” Hoshi sent a message to you in the group chat with you and Seventeen members, and you replied back, “If he doesn’t get his license, I’ll have to marry Minghao instead.” 

“Oho, I really hope that Wonwoo does well then! Have fun you two!” Hoshi sent a bunch of good luck stickers, as Minghao responded with, “Don’t get me involved in this.” You smiled and switched off your phone to give your attention to Wonwoo who has already begun his test. 

You clutched your hands together and fervently hope that ultimately he would be safe. In a blink of an eye, the test was over and Wonwoo came bouncing towards you with a license in his hand. “I did it! I got 79 over a 100!” He giggled as he lifted you off your feet, spinning you around wildly. “So I assume that now you can zoom to my place when I miss you?” 

“I’ll fly if I can but now I can at least get to your house in 20 minutes!”

“I need your help.” Jeonghan pleaded with the maknae Chan. “I’m guessing this is for her. What is it?” Chan asked. “Okay, I need you to come up with a short dance so I can impress her. You know the song Falling For U right?” Chan nodded his head. “Yeah, so it would be awesome if you could help me create like a dance.” “Why me hyung?” 

“Hoshi is busy, Myungho is overseas and Junhwi is sick.” Jeonghan easily ticked off the reasons why Chan was the only best dancer left. “But you’re a good dancer too hyung! It’s my day off!” Chan crossed his arms. “I know, but you’re a genius, so it should be easy for you! I’m good, but you’re better and I want the best for my monthsary.” 

“I don't know whether to be angry at you or not. What’s in for me?” 

Jeonghan knew that question was going to pop up so names his terms carefully, “If you help me out, I’ll bring you out after my date. Yeah, just you. Then we can grab a delicious meal at my aunt’s good friend’s restaurant.” Jeonghan secretly fist pumped as he saw Chan considering about it. 

“I’ve planned out everything. In the evening I’ll bring her out to eat, then bring her here so I can surprise her with a cake and a dance! Please? When you eventually have a girlfriend, I’d do anything to help you too.

“Okay. I’ll help you hyung. I’ll hold your word to it.” Jeonghan internally jumped and he played the part which he wanted Chan to choreograph. “Just the chorus will do. I’m going to connect my phone to the speaker.” Chan nodded yet again and stretch his muscles ideas already forming in his head. 

“Falling For U” started playing and Chan did some simple moves and started stringing dance steps together. “Okay...hyung, just like this and then slide to the right. Say something cheesy, do a sexy dance, then move away from her.” Chan laughed while doing this part and Jeonghan followed, chuckling along with him. 

“Noona! How long have you been standing there?” Seungkwan’s hella vibrant noise sounded down the corridor and Jeonghan immediately stopped dancing. Seokmin pushed open the door, “Jeonghan hyung! I think she’s here to talk to you!” 

Jeonghan wanted to kill himself in this moment. 

“Noona! Seungkwan and I will get going first!” The two clueless boys headed to the recording studio leaving Jeonghan, you and Chan. 

“Uh, this is so awkward I’m just going to leave.” Chan scampered away leaving you two. “This was not part of the plan! How much did you hear?” “Almost everything.” You answer with a small smile. “You weren’t supposed to hear that.” Jeonghan pouted. “Now our monthsary is ruined!” Jeonghan squatted down and gave you a wry smile. “It’s okay. It was touching of you to come up with a dance for me! We can always eat out.” You assured him, moving closer to him to give him a peck on his forehead. 

“Only if you didn’t know about my plan. You haven’t even see me dance yet! Chan told me to do a sexy move and you probably didn’t see it! It goes like this!” Jeonghan knelt down and you squeezed your eyes shut, hands flying to cover your line of vision.

“Baby.” You raised an eyebrow at Mingyu but your focus never left your thesis paper. “Baby~!” He was sitting upright with his back flushed again the headrest, with you in between his legs. You clacked away on your keyboard, occasionally referring to the books on your left. “Baby, would you look at me?” You continued to type with your right hand and with your left you stroked his hair, “Wait.”

“You told me that thirty minutes ago.” You knew Mingyu was pouting because he placed his chin on your head. “I’m really busy though.” Mingyu wrapped his arms around you and started gently poking your sides. You weren’t that ticklish, so you never mentioned anything. After a while, you started to get a little annoyed because the consistent jabbing to your side distracted you a tad bit from your work.

“Mingyu, stop it,” You mumbled, eyes darting around the computer screen to find the information you need. You lightly flicked his hands but to no avail. “Mingyu, I need to finish work.” You stress that particular line, emphasizing on the “finish”.

“I know.” He pressed a kiss to your neck and continued, “But, I’m not going to stop poking you until you give me some attention. I always see you working, when I am busy and even when I have my off days.” You felt bad for ignoring Mingyu because whatever he said was the truth. “I’m sorry Gyu. You’re right, you are more important. I’ll stop ignoring you, you big baby.” You moved your laptop off the bed and snuggled into Mingyu’s large embrace.

“That’s much better. I’ve been wanting you to pay attention to me, you know?”

“I know. Why else would you be big baby Gyu, huh?”

( later after he falls asleep, you get back to your work and you immediately wish that you hadn’t signed on to become a professor, just so you could spend more time with him )
