The star in its halo represents the Ether in Alchemy (the fifth element) as it can also represent the Star of David (It symbolizes in a general way, the conjunction of the energy of the sky together with the energy of the earth)

The halo on him is set in the style of the centurion helmet crest, making him visually more apt to observe the halo.

His armor is inspired by Roman armor, the crest on his helmet being represented by his own halo.

His face is exposed, revealing luminous orbs arranged in the shape of a cross and a red nebula in the background.

He is physically taller and has much greater muscle mass than Gabriel.

The sole design of his shoes is inspired by Bayonetta's shoe sole design style.

The design of his knee pad is inspired by a style similar to the Greek letters Alpha and Omega, which are usually juxtaposed associated with God.

Me: Damn, this dialogue would have been really emotional had we actually SEEN any of that in the show, but all we saw was a man happy to screw his sex partner while his family was falling apart in the background, not even aware that his wife is planning to kill him and that his daughter is still miserable. 😀
