Day 4 - Favorite AU Sam
I love dorky!Carter! She even has her own tag on my blog: dorky!space hero.
Technically, she is not AU, only an alternate version of Samantha Carter in an alternate timeline which, in the end, never existed. (I hate time travel. It always gives me a huge headache.)
Still, she’s my favorite version of Sam in the Stargate Universe; brilliant, adorkable, 101% socially awkward, and immediately blurts out every thought that crosses her mind.
She’s such a stark contrast to our Lt.Colonel Samantha Carter because the military experience is missing. She never had a chance to build up self-confidence although she’s probably still the smartest person in the galaxy. Dorky!Carter is not appreciated by her peers, only exploited.

Once again, I delight in Amanda’s portrayal. Almost all the time, she balls her fists and pulls at her sleeves. It conveys awkwardness and the need to hold onto something to give her confidence. She doesn’t carry a weapon and doesn’t know how to use one. In theory, explosives are her forte. Practically, better not to give her anything. Plus her facial expression is more much pronounced, she uses every muscle up to the point of exaggeration.

Every time I look at her, I scream internally, “Someone protect this precious cinnamon roll too pure for this world!!!”
By the way, did anyone already play that “cinnamon roll game” with all the versions of Samantha Carter and created a gifset? @samcaarter maybe?
And that she fell in love with grumpy!Jack so quickly adds to her charm. 😉

…So this was meant to be a full-length video but my laptop isn’t cooperating with my vidding software right now and I lost like half the SGA clips I had so a full vid just wasn’t possible in time for Sparktober.
