Honestly that ending was perfect.

I just have a hard time with “it was all in their heads” endings.

At first I was disappointed but after watching all of them, it’s just so sad man...

The threat might not have been completely real but it was still a journey, and a very sad one indeed. I’m not a complete mess (yet) but it’s really a lot whatever ending you end up with. The best one being the most bittersweet
