You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.

To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee

To Kill a Mockingbird was published 53 years ago today! Be sure to check out this classic children’s novel from your local NYPL branch. And, don’t forget to visit the main branch on 5th Avenue and 42nd street to see To Kill a Mockingbird and hundreds of other classic children’s books at "The ABC of It: Why Children’s Books Matter" exhibit!

The times when you don’t have enough money to buy another pair of shoes, you just give him a little bit of money and he will fix it for you. A lot of people know him.”
