quirinahdraws doodle digital across the spiderverse spiderverse spidersona bluh graphic design is my passion or something. anyhow meet spinneret. hero with a capability for a lot of versatility but about 5% of used in practice they have three web kinds (red blue and yellow) with starkly different properties and can mix them to create new kinds so like thereotically you could mix just the right amounts to get a colored web specific to the situation but spinneret just likes using the same couple of colors a lot and they’re the most used to those :”) their suit changes colors with the webs by the way because of course it does the markings on the face and the right limbs are dynamic btw 👍 cool power aside I do not think I would be an excellent spiderman because I am terribly afraid of falls but whaddya gonna do 😁

trying to draw them mildly closer to canon. rkrn nintama nintama rantarou i LOVE THESE GUYS but I hold them so dearly that I Need to draw the hyper specific vibe I get from each of them or ill Have Failed fun fact I actually tried to draw these guys together once in January. it turned out REALLY BAD and I never posted it besides an isaku and a kema I colored i think im getting to a senzou hc i can be happy with but I’m not sure isaku has a really distinct appearance and I want to try to get it someday the trick is just to give them all bigger eyebrows. and also little hair whiskers LOLOLOL nakazaike chouji kema tomesaburou zenpouji isaku tachibana senzou nanamatsu koheita shioe monjirou quirinahdraws doodle digital you are not immune to hair floofification.

Types of shots: Distance from the camera Close shot: intimacy, emphasis on charater emotion. Example is a close up shot of Gandalf’s face from Fellowship of the Ring. Long shot: grandiose, emphasis on location. Example is a long shot of Legolas, Gimli, and Aragorn arriving at Rohan, visible on a hill in the distance, from the Two Towers. Note: never start with a close shot. Start with as much location as possible to set the stage for your audience

Rule of thirds: Divide the screen into thirds horizontally and vertically. Try and keep focal points (like eyes) where the lines intersect! Incorrect example shows Araluna from Archmage Ascending with her eyes below the top third horizontal line. Correct example shows Araluna from Archmage Ascending with her eyes on the top third horizontal line.

Don’t cut characters off: make sure not to cut off a shot at the characters’ joints. Be especially careful of knees, elbows, hips. Incorrect example shows a shot of Power and Denji posing for the camera. The left side of the frame cuts off at Power’s wrist. The bottom of the frame cuts off at Denji’s ankles. What is “shorthand”? Perspective & Gridlines: It is NECESSARY to include gridlines to make your perspective clear for the background artist. An incorrect example shows Araluna falling on a blank background. Three correct examples show the same image with gridlines in the background. One shows the gridline as a flat ground. The other shows the gridlone a slanted background in fish eye perspective. The last shows the gridline as a receding wall parallel to the character.

Perspective cheat code: No matter how close characters* are to the camera, the horizontal line will always cross them at the same part of their body. * must be the same height Incorrect example shows the horizon line cross Dokja Kim at his shoulders and Junghyeok Yoo, who is in the background, at his knees. Perspective tip! Try to avoid having the horizon line run through the middle of the screen. Raising or lowering the the horizon gives your shots a cinematic feel.
