ok so i do have adhd but i feel as though this somehow transcends it. I just made a cup of tea 10 minutes ago. Im in a very small room. It has disappeared. I didnt leave the room. It just escaped. It is gone. It never was. Wheres my tea. It couldnt have gone anywhere and yet it has. Did i drink it and eat the cup and forget? Where is my tea. I miss her. This is fucked

he was fucking lucky he has been saved, by the great gods, but help him almighty those two boys would be the things that kill him. not only was chip insistent that there was nothing going on the gentle hand on the back of his neck and forehead kissed after battle seemed like something not even drey could avoid. he hated feeling useless, his body had betrayed him but seeing chip trip over a roll of forgotten rope when gillion happened to flex his muscles maybe made it with it.

there was a sign on relief on the ship when during a storm that should logically have pushed them all into shelter the two boys had “snuck” outside and under the pouring rain and thunder in the distance that they pulled their own heads out of their assess and met in the middle. lightning created silhouettes of the two finally kissing, ending with their foreheads pushed together even the gods saying “finally”

just a random crappy little thing about how I think Troy has a high pain tolerance / dulled sense of pain and no awareness of when injuries are serious because of how many times he's wiped out while sledding (and also autism but shhhh that's a secret)

I also think the amount of concussions he's probably gotten over the years have messed up his fine motor skills, and his eyesight is a little fuzzy

sometimes i wish it was more acceptable to overshare in great detail because both jrwi riptide and pd hit me at very traumatizing yet insanely funny times in my life that add so much to the hilarity of me being hyperfixated on them

There's an interesting metaphor in Troy being portrayed as both an awful, irritating guy (accusing people of cheating because they beat him, trying to start rumours about people with "jax shit my pants", treats his only friend like his personal clown) and also excluded by airheart (not allowed in the winner's lounge, bad relationship with his father, etc). He's human trash, both because he fucking sucks, and because he's been discarded.

And then he falls down the literal trash hole, into a world where all trash is valued and important, where it's all sorted and put to use wherever it's strengths are needed. Nothing goes to waste. And presumably here, Troy will find a little group of friends, real friends, who will value him without letting him walk all over them.
