I want you guys to be prepared

because this won’t be a beautiful, fun and happy reality

this will show us the real BTS

This is the reality that we don’t see and this is probably going to destroy us mentally but i ask you to support them as much as you can

it may not be easy to show us all this personal stuff but they will do it

so please, do not let them down because of what they will show you

They will show the arguments, faints, how hard they are on themselves, them working hard, too hard and this will not be easy

i personally can’t be okay thinking about all of this, having them tired 24/7, even fainting from exhaustion

but i’ve never let them down so i won’t do it now

we will be fucked, yes, but somehow we need to know how they really live and know about their struggles

they are still humans after all

and we need to show them all the love and all the support we can because these 7 guys there deserve all of it, and they will need it more after this

Body Shaming

this is something that i’ve encounter many times. you see, i wasn’t the “ideal type” with long legs, flat chest and butt; it sure was a problem, not with the dance choreography but with the environment. 

now that i’m older and wiser, if i have to describe with one word about the ideology of the public as well as the majority of parents who’ve been sending their children for dance classes, is toxic. 

dancing is not about having a “good’ or “hot” body and if you think people who dances are supposed to be or meant to be so, you are living in a lie. it’s about the execution of complex movements. it’s art, like painting, you don’t have to be “slim” to do it.

my most recent encounter with body shaming was an indirect message from a parent of a beginner student. she saw me performing a contemporary piece choreographed by my teacher and started criticising about how big of a frame i have.

i would like to justify that ballet or any dance in general is not about your weight, it’s about your stregth. the stronger you are, the longer you can hold your arabasque during your adage. the stronger you are, the sharper you can whack. the stronger you are, the tighter your footwork is.

it’s unexceptable, for one to be this ignorant. it’s as if they never seek prior knowledge about dancing before enrolling their children for dance lessons.

i would like to take this opportunity to tell you that, dancing is a form of art. it’s limitless. anyone can do it, anyone can make it as long as you are willing to.
