Depends On What You Mean. A Family I Worked For Had Geese (and Lots Of Other Animals) And They Taught
Depends on what you mean. A family I worked for had geese (and lots of other animals) and they taught me to just pick up the goose if it tried to attack me. And this was like, a giant white goose out of a storybook. But if it was a wild goose... I'd lose that fight.
Ladies this is important- do you think you could realistically fight a goose and win?

stop telling your teenage daughters who say they don't want kids that they'll change their mind
The NY times were much nicer!

I don't think we can trust the guardian as a reliable news source on anything from now on
Half-baked thought but there's some truth to Butler's idea of gender being created and perpetuated as a self-replicating performance, it's just backwards imo. Before, for a brief time (80s, 90s, early 00s), it seemed that we were expanding the boundaries of gender and we did do that through performing it (ie how we dressed and acted etc) and it seemed there really were many ways to be a man or a woman. Now, with more gender identities, more plastic surgery, more influencers, more porn, more sexualization of young girls, toys being more gender-segreggated than before, the space for what is socially a 'woman' gets narrower and narrower personality & appearance wise because of all the people claiming they aren't women because women are Y and they are X and we reproduce that through our actions and through our endorsement (as a society) so gender is indeed a performance and it is indeed something we create and perpetuate. The problem is that, while Butler would consider what is happening now liberating, it's actually restrictive and suffocating (not to mention how much beauty standards, porn and the availability of cosmetic surgery fucks up young people's mental health!) people aren't being freer to explore themselves, they've just gone from a big cage to a set of a lot of very narrow cages. But we're still all in a cage.
To the person who said hospitals are struggling for nurses rn, I 100% believe you but that is not true across the whole US. There are states with awesome nursing unions where nurses make damn good money (even in comparison to cost of living), especially in the upper midwest. In MN and WI, a BSN with no experience starts out making between 70k to 80k, but if you go somewhere like Mississippi, Kansas, or Kentucky, you can say goodbye to 20k or 30k of that.
Anyways, I'm loving all the people demanding good working conditions and refusing to work for people and companies that treat them like shit.
