It really is sad. I found someone recently who I've been talking to, and he has a psych degree like me. He completely understands and agrees with all of my arguments about being anti-sex work, anti-pornography, and why gender ideology is harmful. And not just agree, but he has meaningful conversations about those topics and discusses peer reviewed research with me. And I was so shocked to find a man like this exists. That's how low the bar is. If you are a man who respects women and understand how sexual industries further oppress them, you are already a huge outlier.

I work with 15 year old girls who are so brainwashed by their pimps. They will try to run away from a safe place to get back to this man. They have stop orders on them if they run so we have to restrain them from going back to a life of abuse. They have specific lists of who they can call and I have to listen to their intimate conversations with mom, grandma.
Sometimes we fail. And she gets away. And we never see her again.
These same girls have their pimp aggressively looking for them. To him, she is no different than a 20 year old other than the fact she can make him much more money. To him, she is property. He calls the house to find her. He goes to family members houses posing as a social worker. He waits outside the facility in case she runs. We are to call the police when we see them. Cops show up, this man walks free. Despite being a known child trafficker with tattoos of his name on a 14 year olds body.
So when I hear you defend prostitution, this is what I hear you defending. These pimps are not anomalies and they do not solely prey upon children. They are the ones managing the women who you so strongly defend the right to abuse.
If you defend prostitution or purchase women’s bodies, you are defending child trafficking and unimaginable suffering.

I saw a post about his woman the other day where everyone was like "trans people have always existed", "trans history ftw" etc. And I was so fucking annoyed. Like, does anyone really think this woman woke up one day and went "I really identify with men and I think I am going to live the rest of my life as one because that’s just how I feel and haters gonna hate! It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that women aren’t allowed to live an unwed life in the service of education. And it certainly isn't motivated by a desire to study medicine which women also aren’t allowed to do at this point in time. And the fact that I want to be with women, which is also frowned upon by society since I am also a woman, is also not one of the factors influencing my decision."

Here's to the single women in their twenties and thirties and forties.
Here's to the single women who collapse on their sofas after work with their pets and smile while they drink a glass of wine and watch their favorite show.
Here's to the single women who travel every chance they get.
Here's to the single women who sew their own costumes for the Renaissance Fair and go with all of their girlfriends.
Here's to the single women with fifteen piercings who save up for a new tattoo every other month.
Here's to the single women who have overflowing bookshelves and messy cars and enough reusable bags to insulate a house.
Here's to the single women who drink too much sparkling water and diet soda, who buy the family sized bag of their favorite candy and smuggle it into the movie theater.
Here's to the single women who plan brunches and book clubs and movie nights just to have another excuse to get together and laugh for hours on end.
Here's to the single women who work two jobs and spend their days off doing laundry and cleaning their apartment.
Here's to the single women who blast music in their cars and dance around their kitchens with headphones in while they bake brownies instead of cooking dinner.
Here's to the single women budgeting every penny to pay for rent, groceries, and student loans, because they don't have a second income from a significant other.
Here's to the single women who have realized their sanity is more important than what society says they should be doing.
Here's to the teachers, the nurses, the minimum wage workers, and every profession in between where us single women are trying to make a living.
Don't listen to everyone telling you that you are doing it wrong. That your hobbies are frivolous or that you should be looking for a relationship or that you should have kids by now. Keep living your life. Buy the book. Take the trip. Lick the spoon. You don't need a romantic counterpart to live a fulfilled life. You've got this, babe.
