lighthearted shipping

It doesn’t take much for me to start shipping two characters. All I need is for something, anything, to convince me that they’d be good together. Whether the ship or even the characters are canon makes no difference to me. Yes, it’s lovely to see a ship interacting romantically on-screen, but my God, people who only ship canon pairs are missing out on SO MUCH!

The paid writers for shows, movies, etc. have so many restrictions. The way I see it, fanfic writers have no restrictions at all, so they can write whatever they want about whomever they want. I can write about two characters who have never met and, if I do it right, convince you that they belong together.

As soon as I start shipping a pair, I want them to be happy. Angst and drama have their place, but my fics almost always end happily. Canon can have the sad endings (looking at you, Game of Thrones, etc.), but I want to see my ships live happily ever after and if I have to do it myself, so be it.

I’m not very well versed in playing cards and suites but I assumed that hearts was kind of the leading suite in playing cards? Hence why I had Hongjoong as the king of hearts! Other than that I didn’t really put too much thought in what suite the members should be in, except for San as King of diamonds, bc u know. Sharp man get sharp shape lol

Had to share this here because you're right and you should say it. It's incredible how many people came out of the woodwork as soon as AO3 was down and suddenly had no compunctions at all about screaming how much they love and need fanfic--on the AO3 twitter. Is it so much harder to do in the comment section?

At this point I don't care anymore if people call me entitled or think I'm out of line. If fanfic is so meaningful to you that you cannot go half an hour without, let alone 24h, then you can get over yourself long enough to write a fucking comment. No excuses.

"writing comments is hard and scary" yeah well GUESS WHAT so is writing fanfics. fandom as a community is dying, because it is instead treated as a COMMODITY, a CONSUMER PRODUCT. We're not asking for much. We're asking for a CONNECTION. We don't want to sell, we want to share.
