ATEEZ 2019 Wrap Up

Another Open Letter to Monbebes (January 3, 2020 - 10:43 AM US Mountain Time)

So, some things have happened, but before I list them, do not freak out and immediately scroll off of this post because I’m here to explain some things, okay?

Within the past hours, these are our updates:

MX’s board was taken off of fan cafe (the one that everyone was using to spam about Wonho).

We’re only able to write to the six active members individually now.

Wonho’s profile is still up, though.

OT6 chants with no names.

OT6 chant for Rodeo and there was a video where you can hear the vocals and Wonho’s solo parts have been removed.

Now, listen, I know this all sounds terrible - I got worried when I first heard it, but let’s all take a step back and assess the situation.

The fan cafe is a lovely place for interaction, but strange and kind of annoying in the manner of how it works. It’s the New Year which means new policies were probably enacted and the fc does weird stuff like this all time - like legitimately, idols aren’t even safe. They get demoted from their own boards and some, I believe, have even been locked out of their boards? I don’t know - it’s wild, okay.

But my point is, the fc staff probably got scolded by the higher ups about the board being used for OT7. I have a feeling that’s why we started seeing letters to Wonho disappear during that last bit of 2019.

They could have been:

Clearing the letters per new year.

Clearing the letters for what they did now.

Clearing the letters in an attempt to save the board for OT7, but couldn’t clear it out in time, so the higher ups just said to scrap it all.

There’s a lot of possibilities, and while it may seem absolutely terrible, please remember Wonho’s account is still up. It has never been deleted, so he’s still here despite the madness. Plus, fan cafe can just be...extreme, sometimes. This isn’t the first time wild stuff has happened, so please do not worry yourselves sick over this, okay?

As for the OT6 stuff, a friend of mine pointed out it’s probably for fancon. In addition, I would like to point out that until Wonho returns, they would have to remove his voice from tracks and replace his vocals for many reasons - none in which involve him being terminated, by the way. I’ve said it once, and I will say it again because I know someone is going to make a comment about this in my inbox, but that letter the news source sent out a couple months back was not an official Starship termination letter.

Wonho has not been terminated.

What we’re experiencing now is the rollercoaster before the carousel. Everything will be okay. I understand it’s frightening, but please let’s all keep our shoulders balanced, okay?

Continue spreading your love and support for OT7. Continue doing positive projects. Know who you’re supporting fan-wise and keep calm.

All of this seems like the end of the road, but we have to remember that idols promote and perform a lot. We kind of grow used to it when everything is routine, but now that the normalcy has been shaken, we’re noticing every single detail - minuscule or not.
