To My Mutuals Or Followers, Or Just Anyone Who Sees This:
To my mutuals or followers, or just anyone who sees this:
Please reblog the kosa bill posts from me and others. This bill is EXTREMELY dangerous to the queer community and especially queer minors. As a queer and trans minor in a bad home situation, I and many others would be in so much danger if this bill is approved. Its actually so horrific. One of the senators who introduced it, Marsha Blackburn, said that "protecting minor children from the transgender in this culture" was a top priority. As a trans minor, I find this disgusting and harmful to my existence, I'm sure many others my age feel the same way. So please: REBLOG THE KOSA BILL POSTS.
EDIT: IT WILL ALSO CENSOR THE PALESTINE GENOCIDE POSTS AND MANY MORE THINGS!!! WE WILL BE BLOCKED FROM THE TRUTH!!! Also I do not know many things about the kosa bill, this is the limit of my knowlege, so I can't answer any questions. I'm sorry!

They are already selling data to midjourney, and it's very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.
Sorry to put more of this on your dashboards but i need y'all to know. Aaron Bushnell was trying to get out of the military prior to his action on february 25th. He was sick of being complicit and was trying to get out. His contract was almost over and he was trying to leave the air force.

When you join the military you sign a contract for a fixed period of service. It is likely he opted for a 4 year contract. You cannot "just quit" like a normal job. Attempts to avoid finishing your contract can result in felony charges and jail time. appealing as a conscientious objector is possible, but extremely difficult for noncombat roles.

He was trying to utilize the skill bridge program the DoD offers, to work for a civilian company for the last 180 days of his contracted service period. That would have let him cease his complicity even sooner.

This was the last act of a desperate man trying to draw attention to the horrors he felt he was complicit in, complicity he was legally barred from stopping.
He felt complicit, he was trapped in the military, he was trying to get out, and he couldn't take it any longer.

been doing some thinking on what it means to be an internet artist in 2024 and it kind of sucks tbh. there's so much focus on numbers, but numbers aren't fulfilling. what really matters to me is community engagement, or the actual response i get from my audience. a number (be it a like or reblog) doesn't tell me anything. but tags do, postulating about the meaning of my drawings in the tags or my inbox or replies means something. but you can't get those kind of thoughtful comments without reblogs. and then, those thoughtful comments are SO few and far in between, it's genuinely kind of depressing. like, let's say you post a drawing and it gets 100 notes. great! 90 of them are likes and 10 of them are reblogs. MAYBE one person will tag it with any of their personal thoughts. and that's a big maybe. even small comments like "cute!" or "i love this so much omg" are worth more than silence. idk. i've been on the internet for a really long time and this new wave of reclusiveness from audiences just kind of sucks. it's demotivating and isolating and it takes a lot of the joy out of creating. when you think to yourself, "man, i bet they'll love this drawing!" only to have like, two people tops say as much... when u post ur art online for free like i do, that engagement is literally The Only Thing u get out of it. so it's sad to watch in real time as it becomes sparser and sparser. whatever. who cares (i do.)
"B-but Palestinians can get their freedom with peace not violence π₯Ίπ₯Ί" no. Screw your feelings. The armed resistance against colonizers and murderers is what will give Palestinians their freedom and what will eventually achieve real peace.
An enemy that bombs and uses white phosphorus against civilians doesn't know nor practice what your broken moral compass describes as "peace". Freedom was proven throughout history not to be achieved through kneeling and asking the oppressor to kindly stop. Freedom needs to be taken by force. Your little Utopian way of thinking doesn't work in the real world. Your feelings don't matter because you're not the one living under occupation. Your feelings don't matter because you're not one of the thousands of children who lost their limbs. You're not one of the children who became orphans due to this genocide. You're not the mother who lost her child to the carpet bombing. You're not the father carrying the remains of your child in plastic bags. You're not the newlywed woman who lost her husband. You're not the one at risk of either getting killed any second or losing your loved ones in the blink of an eye!
"Peace" is not really a thing you see during a live ethnic cleansing!
Would you ever make a side blog for all the silly cat pictures cause I don't use Twitter anymore and miss the cats π
