Your "non-confrontational" choices not to communicate hurt the people you don't confront btw. You're not a martyr for keeping everything inside and then running away when other people don't know what's going on with you. You just decided avoiding rejection and sparing your own feelings was easier than being honest and giving them the agency to respond and make their own decisions. You chose to hurt them so they didn't hurt you. You think your feelings are realer and more important than their own care and love for you. You were always just waiting for a sign to run.
"If they cared about me they would have–" did you tell them that? Did you let them know how you feel? How much importance you place on those requirements they don't know they have to meet? This secret criteria and secret signs for your secret feelings? Or are you making them play a game they don't know even exists?
Your choice not to communicate isn't cute. You didn't run because they didn't feel the same for you. You ran so you wouldn't have to risk rejection. You chose to prioritise your own self-protection over their trust in and love for you. At least own that.

a comic/zine about coyotes
every fact I learn about astarion through his stans makes me love him more and it's so funny because it's like "he's an orphan who was named little star by his parents and he's the best representation of male SA trauma in a popular video game" and then you talk to him and hes just such a biiiitch
I just love duos I love when characters are matched sets I love when you can't have one without the other. Not necessarily in a romantic way. It often is but this also applies to besties and mortal enemies etc
Can I share with you all that I have a headcanon that Astarion secretly loves kids, just don't want to say it out loud?
*MILD SPOILERS AHEAD*
In case you don't kill the hag in Act I, she comes back in Act III and she ate a child. The child is still alive and you can't kill the hag in order to save the little girl.
Astarion says "Be careful. If we kill the hag, we kill the child too". And *genuine* worried, you can feel it in his voice.
I've met a girl that was lost too, and gave her some food. He actually approved that. He was a bit reluctant when Yenna came to camp, but if you let her stay he doesn't disapprove either, even complaining.
Also in Act I, if you manage to play with the tiefling girl and do a coin trick, he's smiling at you in the back, while you can see the others a bit more neutral or just confused.
I'm sure he's just posing as the "bad guy who doesn't like anything or anyone but if a child/animal shows up I'll melt"
well if its for fucked up and horny reasons, then i guess its okay...
