I know this is going to be an extremely unpopular opinion and it's completely fine if you disagree (and many of you will) but... this is more than enough for me. Buck and Tommy, I mean.

Now, I am just a simple bisexual who has watched a handful of episodes (will be watching more now) and really LOVED the idea of Buddie.

But watching the last episode, something changed. It just clicked that apparently, all I wanted was for Buck to realize he is bi and eventually, act on that. And he did, with Tommy, and that made my heart burst and Buddie didn't all of a sudden seem like this "it has to happen" kind of thing anymore. Yes, it surprised me too.

The most important thing I wanted to say beyond this, is to some people I've seen on tumblr, twitter, tiktok, etc...

Do not treat this as a stepping stone storyline for Buddie. This is an extremely important storyline that goes beyond Buddie.

This is everything to me as it is, and I am rooting for the characters 🩷💜💙

AITA for coming out at my sister's wedding?

I (32M) recently realized I'm bisexual and I have my first bf (45M), he's a rescue helicopter pilot (this will be relevant later). I'm out to my sister (41F) and my coworkers, including her husband, who I have worked with for years, but not to my parents or most of the other guests. Everyone has joked that I'm a little too close to my best friend (32M), and we might as well get married, but he's straight and has a gf. They're not relevant to this story, but to give context to how much my sexuality probably shouldn't be a surprise, even if it took me by surprise.

I told my sister and her husband I was bringing a plus one, and they both knew my bf, they were supportive of it because he makes me really happy.

Everything kind of started at the bachelor party. It was just me, my brother-in-law, and my best friend, and we did the usual stuff. We stayed a night in a hotel, went out to get drunk, sang some karaoke at our usual spot. It should have been a super chill night. Until my best friend and I lost the groom??? But it way more stressful than The Hangover makes it look.

He'd been taken by these guys who tried to kill him (no, I don't know why) and we didn't realize he was missing until less than an hour before the wedding. My mom kind of threw a fit about us being late, and then blamed me for losing the groom, which is kind of a normal reaction from her. My dad didn't yell as much but again, this is a normal reaction, I'm kind of the disappointment child. Basically, we had to find my brother-in-law because he still needed to marry my sister.

Before anyone worries: they did get married. He's fine. The hospital says they're discharging him tomorrow to go home. They're gonna reschedule their honeymoon so he's well enough to enjoy it.

Long story short, it turned into a rescue mission, and driving would have taken too long, and my best friend suggested we ask my bf to borrow his helicopter again (long story, but we had to borrow him for something a few months ago, it's how we met!) so I asked him for the favor. My mom asked who he was, since my best friend just used his name, and I told her he's my boyfriend, and she freaked out about it.

When we go to the hospital with my brother-in-law, my parents both yelled at and scolded me for taking attention away from the biggest day of my sister's life by pulling some "stunt" with my bf (to SAVE my brother-in-law from being violently murdered), and I think my dad somehow grounded me?

AITA?

The response has been beautiful - like I can’t tell you how many wonderful messages I received from people who are openly queer and people who are not openly queer, which has been really amazing for me to see. I’ve received messages from firefighters who have said, “I’m not out and seeing this means the world to me.” I could never in a million years of expected to be getting those messages, so it’s very humbling and just a really amazing experience for me to get to be a part of that.

Walking out of the theatre after watching two hours of Dev Patel kick ass, fueled by grief for his mother, the power of trans people in India, and his own righteous fury:

*sobbing* "I forgot movies can be good."

Its so annoying when I see people saying 'Monkey Man' is the indian John Wick. No it really isnt? It's its own film & has its own important message without having to compare it to another movie because you dont have the creativity to describe it. Plus it does a disservice to all the work that Dev Patel put in for people to turn around & say that. Tell me you missed the whole point of the movie without telling me you missed the whole point of the movie..

Me after watching The Green Knight: This Dev Patel guy is a pretty good actor and he's pretty cute too. Me after watching Monkey Man: Mr. Patel please please please just give me one chance please I can treat you so good

Cannot recommend seeing Monkey Man enough. Such a genuine love letter to both Indian culture and minorities, while also being an action film that takes a hardline political stance - this movie COMMITS.

Violence is a choice in Monkey Man, against others and yourself, and Kid embodies that choice in every scene. It's heartbreaking, infuriating, raw...it's exactly what this kind of underdog story SHOULD feel like.

Also in Dev's own words:

"So I wanted to talk about issues like violence against women,” he adds, “and police brutality, the caste system, religion — and specifically, the kind of duality of religion that see not just in India but in so many places around the world right now. Religion at its best is actually a uniting and unifying force, you know. It should make people fight for each other, instead of against each other. But all of that stuff is connected, and so much of my rage over these divisions made it into this film. I had so much anger in me when we were writing this.”

I love how Dev Patel’s Character (I’m going to call him Hanuman) was told by his mother that his future can be found in the roots (lines) of his hands.

And how he tried to save his mother from the fire, grabbing with child’s hands, but instead burned his future away.

And how our first real view of them is when he bargains his way into a job that will lead him to the men that took his future away. Scarred, pale, blank and ruined.

Just like the monkey, Hanuman reached out to the burning desired life, and was supposedly stripped of his potential and power as punishment by the powers that be.

But then, with love and care from others battered, he was guided to his heart, and found it still beating and unfettered. A warrior’s heart.

And so drumbeat by drumbeat, he shaped himself, his hands, into a weapon of justice. To save the future. To remain nameless but to return vengeance upon those who would do others harm with no thought.

His hands, created by the past, shaped and balanced the future.

monkey man promo interviews r just like oh yeah dev patel broke multiple bones during the action scenes and he simply shoved a screw into his hand and moved on and the sets kept burning down and the cameras were malfunctioning and we spent half a year editing a segment in a scene and we were trapped in an island for months and the crew was marrying n divorcing each other in total soap opera fashion but whatever we made it because if there's a will there's a way <3

I have 33 fics below out of the 9,085 fics on Bagginshield’s AO3, so I’d recommend taking a look there as well for those I’ve missed. As always, buckle in boys.

just thinking about a scene where the strawhats r having a lowkey night of reminiscing / storytelling, and somehow luffy n zoro’s misadventures on the Tiny Dinghy is brought up just for someone to be like “how did you guys meet anyways?” because no one’s ever thought to ask. they assumed luffy just stumbled onto zoro by chance (fate) like everyone else, and zoro starts to reply I was captured in a marine base and luffy just happened to be in town— but luffy interrupts. “I didn’t just HAPPEN to be in town. I was there for you. I’d heard your name the day before and knew you were mine. silly zoro. I thought you knew that.” the crew stares on in shock bc oh. OH. that explains a lot. zoro’s blushing. luffy goes back to munching on his snack like nothing happened

Penelope Featherington is also inlove with a writer. Soulful travel writer 'English Gentleman' with his books, she feels true emotion and affection

(They just don't know that this means they are inlove with each other.)

So while Penelope and Colin may actually be the best of friends in real life. And perhaps something more, when it comes to heated glances and double entendre conversation. It's in the public's best interest that English Gentleman and Lady Whistledown never actually discover that they share the same publishing company.

One can only imagine what kind of disaster that scandal would be.
