hi everyone!

my name is yeliza, i’m ukrainian, living in kyiv. funny story but currently we have a 150k+ army of russians all over the ukrainian borders, as well as an ongoing shelling from uncontrolled territories that has been averaging more than 1000 strikes daily. more fun facts - we are currently in a state of emergency, and it’s of high probability that russians will start a major invasion pretty damn soon. kyiv will be one of the first to be hit :)

About the Russian invasion - how is everyone feeling there? What can we do to help?

A little bit of history: it's actually been 8 years since russia first invaded our country. But for the last years it was getting more and more quiet. And now BOOM again

Many people evacuated from the destroyed by war cities in 2014 and some still live there even though they support Ukraine. It's hard to leave your home. So it's emotionally different for everyone. There was a joke that people from Kyiv worry more than people from Eastern Ukraine. Because they have experienced a similar thing in 2014 and now they're more prepared than ever before.

Personally, I'm panicking from time to time, because, yup, it's stressful. Most people don't really speak about the war and evacuation because it's scary. But I feel like everyone's trying to be prepared for the evacuation or fighting. Every night does feel like a last one, after all.

Since the beginning of the war, our people have been giving money to military charity. One of the most famous military charities is "Return alive" (Povernysya zhivim). Many Ukrainians donate here every month. Here is a link for Facebook page of the charity, let me know if it translates to English or if i should make a post with translation:

There is also a charity that helps military. Yana Zinkevych, a Ukrainian politician and a commander of the Hospitallers Medical Battalion, leads this charity. In 2015 she was paralyzed during a mission and since then she has been using a wheelchair. She has personally saved more than 200 soldiers and she's awesome.

I tried to write about the charities that Ukrainians trust in. They are famous, they have been trusted by people all these years, so as far as I am concerned, they can be trusted.

TURKEY IS BEING BURNT DOWN! and It’s not a natural disaster, it’s arson. literal terror. a crime. there are 81 fires going on in 23 different cities. this has been going on for 2 days. people are dying, losing their homes.

helicopters, drones, planes and thousands of firemen are currently trying to control fires in 10 different locations in southern Turkey. so far, three people have died, hundreds of animals have perished and several settlements are being evacuated.

A WHOLE country is on fire please that is not something you can underestimate.

for some reason the entire bts community seems to have rallied around a single and inaccurate tiktok claiming that jungkook’s affectionate nicknames, ‘kook’ and ‘guk’, are variations of the slur ‘g**k’, a derogatory word for east asian people. THEY ARE NOT. g**k is the only slur of the three. g**k is the only way it has ever been and will ever be spelled. it is an ENGLISH SLUR. THERE ARE NO ALTERNATIVE SPELLINGS. it was created by white people in the 1900s during a time of mass war, conflict, and imperialism throughout the phillipines, vietnam, and korea. it was predominantly used by white people until the vietnam war ended in 1975. it has been sparingly used since and is practically extinct in usage amongst millennials and gen z. JUNGKOOK’S NAME IS NOT A SLUR. it has never, ever, EVER been romanized as g**k. there should be ZERO confusion over this. i’m sick of (mostly) white people afraid of being racist speaking over east asian people who have repeatedly stated that kook and guk are not offensive. i’m sick of people believing that one woman on tiktok because she seemed like she knew what she was talking about. do not dox/correct/speak over east asian people when talking about what is and is not a slur for east asians. east asian fans do not intrinsically think that, because you refer to jungkook as ‘kook’ or ‘guk’, you are disparaging him by calling him a slur. it is very obvious when someone says a slur and means it as such. talking about jungkook and calling him ‘kook’ or ‘guk’ is not one of those scenarios. PLEASE. FACT CHECK YOUR SOURCES.

a so called conflict is not an excuse for murdering innocent lives.

Israel is BOMBING gaza after Palestinians protested #savesheikhjarrah, KILLING off atleast 20 Palestinians, and leaving many people severely injured. This is a war crime, and a literal massacre. Israel intends to bomb gaza in order to "restore quiet".

Please don't stay quiet about this because the media will NOT spread the news the way it should and, shamefully, not everyone will raise their voices against Israel's terrorism.

Being silent contributes majorly to this injustice.

Israeli extremists celebrating while thousands of year old trees and Al-Aqsa mosque are on fire. At the same time 20 Palestinians have died in Gaza Strip!

Everyday I see people on the internet mourning and condemning genocide and facisim of the past while saying things like “how did people allow this to happen” meanwhile when equally horrific things are happening now in real-time, these same people are completely silent.

Unarmed Palestinian civilians (and I’m fucking tired of adding how they’re unarmed civilians in every post so that you can understand the magnitude of what’s going on) from all ages are being beaten, disfigured, displaced and even slaughtered by fully-armed soldiers from one of the world’s strongest armies, which in-turn are funded with billions from the US, the world’s strongest military, in an illegally occupied city where it’s literally a public law that says non-jewish people aren’t allowed to exceeds 40% of the population. 

Palestinians don’t want your money, they’re just beginning for you to share what’s happening to them because right now the only thing standing between them getting massacred and ethnically cleansed on their own land is universal condemnation, this isn’t about being performative/woke anymore, innocent people’s lives literally depends on how many retweets/posts/attention they get.

At this point if you’re not speaking right now, there’s no point in speaking anytime.

Lets get things straight before we let the whipped western media start reporting on the on-going ethnic cleansing and massacres as “clashes” or about Israel once again bombing civilians in Gaza as “self-defense” or “retaliating.”

For the entire holy month of Ramadan and only in last month alone:

The Israeli army protected Israeli settlers during their “Death to Arabs” march where they attacked any Palestinian they saw, Israeli Mayors and members of their parliament were a part of that March.

The Israeli army dragged Palestinians civilians from their own homes, so that the cheering Israeli settlers standing to the side with their luggages can move in to there, because it’s literally a public law that Jerusalem’s non-Jewish population has to always be under 40%.

The Israeli army stormed Al Aqsa Mosque, the 3rd holiest site in Islam and started indiscriminately shooting rubber bullets and sound grenades at unarmed worshippers during Lalyt al Qadr, the holiest night in Islam. 

Thousands of people on Facebook, instagram and Twitter had their posts/accounted deleted or muted after reporting what happened there, Instagram claimed it was a “technical issue” but they have yet to give an actual reason as to why it happened/is till happening.

The very next day, despite all that happened, the Israeli government decided to still allow thousands of Jewish Israeli settlers to come to Jerusalem for their annual “Jerusalem Day,” a racist and nationalist holiday to celebrate stealing the city in 1967, where Jewish Settlers will march through Jerusalem while singing and waving the Israeli flags, all while being being 100% protected by The Israeli army at all times.

The Israeli army blocked any Palestinians from entering Jerusalem in the same exact day, all while accompanying those Israeli settlers and “defending” them as they assault Palestinians and try to break in their holy site.

The Israeli army deliberately used rubber-coated bullets on Palestinians civilians, not out of mercy, but to keep the morality rate low for their reputation, while still being able to disfigure as many Palestinians as they can to ensure that no trauma is wasted. Hence why the majority of Palestinians who got shot, have either lost their eyes or broke their elbows/knees.

The Israeli army prevented Palestinian medics from entering Jerusalem to tend to the injured Palestinians, the Israeli medics however were allowed to enter, but they only tended the injured Israelis soldiers.

By the end of the night, Israelis have set fire to the historic Al Aqsa Mosque, with thousands of Israeli settlers celebrating, clapping and singing right in front of the fire (literal videos of that can be found online)

The Israeli army is currently indiscriminately bombing Gaza, civilians causalities are increasing by the minute.

Western/American politicians who have been silent about all the violence that happened in this month are now coming out and claiming that they support Israel’s right of “self-defense” as they bomb Gaza.

The Israeli army is one of the strongest armies with (illegal) Nuclear weapons in the world, not only that but they receive weapons and 10 millions dollars a day from the US for free every single say. Palestinians only have rocks they could find on the ground and social media to show the world their suffering.

This isn’t and has never been a conflict or “clashes” between two sides and never allow anyone to refer to it as such, the violence and suffering happening is purely one-sided. One side is an apartheid settler colony that’s fully-armed to the brim and are ruling over and ethnically cleansing the unarmed native population through various war crimes and human rights violation that regularly breaks international laws.

Israel is a rogue terrorist settler-colony that have been committing crimes against humanity no-stop for the last 72 years it has existed, their existence and the lack of consequences and the blind support they receive from western Superpower for committing crimes that are set by the international community should be a concern to everyone in this world.

SHE’S NOT HERE?! We don’t see her OR Felix dancing with the others to get themselves out of the pavilion. So...yeah, I guess you’re right! The freakin’ disrespect - I mean SHE WAS THE ONE that figured out “You have to dance together!” The sheer AUDACITY of this scene.

She should’ve danced with Twyla and Felix. It would’ve made sense since she’s the middle sister without a love interest (i.e. Genevieve) or a “sister group” like everyone else, plus her official bio from the old website says she loves animals so it would have tied in well.
