When I was 10-12 my favorite band was We the Kings. I was always singing Check Yes Juliet or say you like me or we’ll be a dream. This year at warped (san diego) I knew that they were performing and i couldn’t wait. They were my childhood heroes and they’d always mean something to me. I was walking to a set to meet my friends and I saw a few people waiting outside a tent and I saw Travis, and it was like my heart stopped. When it was my turn he hugged me and said “hello beautiful” and we took a picture and he signed my arm. He hugged me again and I said “it was amazing meeting you” and he said “it was amazing meeting you. I’ll see you soon, okay?” about two hours later I blacked out from dehydration and hit my head, and I had to go to the emergency room. In the ambulance I kept thinking about Travis and he wrote “I love you, Travis <3” and it made me feel more peaceful, since that had been the worst and scariest day of my life. I will never, ever, forget meeting travis and I hope I can meet him again and see we the kings perform.
