Alright, I know you, people, absolutely love headcanoning Edgar as someone who would set a kitchen on fire, if allowed near/connected to one, but hear me out! Edgar makes cooking his hobby. He finds a website with good recipes and makes it his mission to cook something tasty for you every day. He makes warm meals for you when you're sick or it's simply one of those cold, rainy days, when you feel rather blue. He gets so much into baking you stop buying sweets at all, because all you need is to bring fresh ingredients home and Edgar immediately starts to look through his bookmarks to see what he can do with them...

Of course, he wouldn't be able to try all the food he makes for you (which Edgar really wishes he could do) and experiment without your help in tasting, but the process and the results (you smiling and thanking him so sincerely) would always cheer him up.
