what pushed you over the edge into joining tennisblr? this is the only social media website I regularly use so I don’t know much about tennis fandom on other sites, and no one I know irl uses tumblr so I’m curious how you ended up here! and happy to have you of course

Thank you - and I'm super happy to be here! Tumblr's one of the few social medias I use anymore. I have a threads account, I sometimes remember Instagram and I've blogged on various platforms for longer than I care to remember.

Tumblr. I've used Tumblr for... well lets say my OG Tumblr account is over 14 years old LOL. Chronically online millennial, reporting for duty!

When I found myself hip-deep in tennis obsession this summer, I felt like I was just annoying the hell out of everyone by rambling about the sport, but also feeling like I was yelling into the void because no-one seemed to know or care at all about it (Unlike when I fell into SG-1 fandom about 10 years ago and discovered that nearly everyone I knew was already into the fandom).

I figured everything had a fandom on Tumblr, but had no idea if there even WAS a tennis fandom. Hell, I was only really discovering that there was a fuckton of tennis outside of Wimbledon and that was incredibly exciting in and of itself! I checked the tags for tennis in general, for Alcaraz and Sinner and oh, yup, there's the fandom. I lurked for a while, liked a few posts, reblogged a few things but then decided I wanted almost a clean start/separate tennis blog so completely new blog, not even a side blog, a whole new tumblr unconnected from my other one without all those years of history connected to it.

And here I am! :)
