Of all the things I did not expect to find in tennis RPS fandom, it was Sentinel/Guide AU.

I hadn't thought about what tropes I had expected to find, to be fair, but I honestly would not have expected that one. Like, it's so pervasive in sci-fi, especially in SG:A - but I didn't think it would have taken hold outside

On a side/personal note - I have to say I fucking hatehighly dislike that trope. Mostly because if I want to read fic about a damn Sentinel and his guide? I'm going to be reading Ellison/Sandburg! Sentinel was one of my early fandoms, I still love the show so yeah
