I'm here joining the event! =D

Quackity, they/them, being friends in a library where Quackity and Reader are both here to study and always sitting in the same table, and one of them find another one is attractive, so they started passing small notes with each other

This is long because I loved this idea so much

The past week you've been going to the library on campus daily to study seeing as it was the only quiet place you could go to get away from your loud roommate. You loved her and she was your best friend, but she just got to be too loud sometimes and the quiet of the library was much needed.

And these past few days the same boy has come and sat at the same table as you. He always gets there twenty minutes after you and is there when you leave.

You two have smiled at each other and that's it. Well besides the first day when he asked "Is this seat taken" but after that, he just kinda sat there without needing permission anymore. On the third day of him sitting there, he had passed a note asking if you had a spare pencil or pen which you gladly let him borrow.

The reason you never talked to him was partially that he was really cute, like really really attractive. But also because, what do you even say? Hello? How do you like the weather? No, that's weird.

Like clockwork, he had shown up exactly twenty minutes after you and took the seat diagonal to you at the table that sat four. The table was slightly hidden away in the corner of the library in between bookshelves and a window that overlooked the campus. Today, like normal, he smiled at you as he took out his laptop, textbooks, and notebooks.

But he did something that was not normal, he took a sticky note out of his bag and wrote on it before passing it to you and tapping the table to get your attention. Picking the note up, it said 'Hello :)' smiling, you looked up at him to see he was already watching you. Looking back down, you wrote in the free space 'Hi'

The note was then passed back to him where he wrote 'What's your name? I'm Alex'. Writing your name, you passed it back only for him to quickly write something and pass it back before busying himself with his work. Noticing his flustered state, you looked down at the note to see it said 'Pretty name for a pretty person' and his number was below it with a small smiley face.

As the flustered state spread onto you, you looked up at him and smiled as you noticed he was avoiding looking at you by looking at his laptop. Going on your phone, you texted him so he had your number. When his phone vibrated, you set yours down and got to work on your essay so you could avoid the gaze you felt burning into you every few minutes.
