and when he SEES you!!!!! he melts. you’ve gotten even prettier than when he saw you last summer. he tries to act cool and nonchalant by standing at the back of the room, waiting for you to notice him.

he’s the first person you look for when you enter the party. he looks so good in his old jacket from high school. you think it makes him look even more attractive. you see him and your stomach flips. how the hell did he get even hotter over the year?

you walk up to him, and he can’t stop himself. he picks you up and spins you.

“you’ve grown so much dove, can’t believe how big you’ve gotten.” he says, setting you down.

you giggle and blush, hoping he didn’t hear how loud your heart was beating. you feel so flustered!!! he touched you!! grabbed your wasit!!!!! CALLED YOU DOVE!!! ur brain is malfunctioning.

then ur dad comes over to see how you’re enjoying your party! and all you can think about is how much you want to be alone with your dads best friend.

eddie cant stop staring at you. he feels like a dirty old man, ogling you when you’re about 20 years younger than him. he cant help but be attracted to you. you’re the sweetest thing he’s ever seen, with the cutest pout and prettiest eyes.

he promises himself that before you leave home to go back to uni, he’s gonna make you his girl.

“Hey. I need to talk to you.” Remus said when he walked into his dorm room.

“Who, me?” asked James nervously. He did not like confrontation and he could tell by Remus’ stare, that a confrontation would definitely be happening.

“No. Pads.” he replied while glaring at the boy.

“What's up Moony?” Asked Sirius standing up from his bed and tossing his muggle magazine on his bedside table.

“It's about Y/N. I don't know what you're doing or if you're going to try to make a move but you better stop, fast. I care about her and I'm not going to let you woo her and then dump her when you're finished.” Remus ranted, his face and neck going red.

“Woah Woah Woah, who the hell said I was trying to steal your girl Moony? We all know you've been bloody obsessed over her since third year. I'd never make a move on her. I was just comforting her because I know that it feels like to have a parent like that.” Sirius replied. He felt upset that his friend thought that low of him. He knew he had a long dating  history but he had cared about all of them, hadn't he? In his own way I guess he had. 

“Oh. Well. Ok then. I didn't realize you all knew how I felt.” Remus replied shyly, regretting his tone that he had spoken to Sirius with.

“Of course we bloody know, we found your poems about her under your bed last year.” Sirius said while grinning.

“Oh, Y/N! How I love your shiny hair and how it catches the sun! I wish I could sit and watch it all day!”, James said in a high pitched voice. Remus ran at him while James jumped out of the way. The group started running from him while laughing and reciting his bad poetry about you.

At least we're all clear and on the same page, Remus thought to himself after they had all calmed down.

“All right, now that that's all settled. We need to plan a party for Y/N. For tomorrow night.” Remus told his friends.

“TOMORROW?” Screamed the rest of the marauders. “Well you should've opened with that idiot! How the hell are we supposed to plan a party for her in under 24 hours?” Sirius yelled.

“Oh come on pads you've done that plenty of times. Only this time, it has to be huge. Invite other houses, we need a bar, a disco ball, fireworks, food, and lots and lots of drinks. She deserves a party dedicated just for her.” Remus said passionately.

“Jesus Moony. Can't y’just ask her out already? Doing all of this for her just to stay friends when it's over. Be careful, people might think you're in looovve”, James said while grinning at his friend. 

“Oh shut up. She's had a hard week. This is for her to relax, not for me to try and get with her. But if I get a kiss or two I'm not complaining.” He joked with his friends.

“There's the Remus I know!” James yelled and slapped him on the back. “Alright, me and Sirius will take the cloak now, skip off our next class and head into the village to get what we need.”

“But I wanna go too!” Peter whined.

“Sorry Pete. If we all go, the teachers will know something’s up. Plus if we get caught, you can't afford another detention.” James replied sympathetically. Peter nodded, remembering the last howler he received from his mother for his amount of detentions. The group split up then, two getting supplies, and two going to Herbology.

Meanwhile, You and your father were walking to the green houses together.

“Ok Y/N. Repeat to me what I have just told you.” Your father said to you.

“No speaking to anyone I'm not partnered up with. No speaking when not spoken to. Do better than everyone else because I was raised to be better than the rest.” You spoke in a monotone voice. 

“Yes. Good. I'll be standing at the back again. And fix your bloody posture.” He whispered before disappearing to the back of the greenhouse. 

Your usual partner was Remus but he and Lily switched at the last second so your father didn't see. He was now partnered with Marlene. He and Marls were good friends so he didn't mind the switch. That didn't stop him from staring at you every chance he got.

Herbology went by fast, and soon enough it was time for lunch. You walked back to the castle with your father, and he sat with you at your table. It was extremely awkward.

“So, Mr. Y/L/N, what do you do for work?” Lily asked politely.

Your father smiled at her and said “I work at the Ministry of Magic”.

All your friends kept making friendly conversation while you tried not to focus on anything. You always felt uncomfortable around your father, even when you were a baby you'd always cry when he held you. Maybe that's why he didn't like you. Because you could tell he was a bad man. 

Remus kept trying to catch your attention, your father could tell. He was getting angrier and angrier. Who was this boy? And why did he care for you so much? It was pathetic really, your father thought while smiling to himself. Surely you won't fall for it right? You know better than that. Or do you? Rather than sit and find out, your father got up, pulling you with him. 

“I think we should head to your next lesson early, don't you?” He asked, while you nodded along, willing to agree to anything to make this day be over.

As soon as you left the table, Remus leaned in and said “Party tomorrow for Y/N. Tell anyone you want I don't care but make sure you get people to come. Sirius and James are doing most of the organizing so you know it'll be memorable”. He walked away shortly after that, saying he had some extra planning to do before class.

Before you knew it, the rest of the day flew by. Your father didn't stay for dinner, saying he'd write soon. You walked up to the common room and slouched into a chair, wanting to be left alone. You ended up falling asleep by the warm fire, dreaming of your family. Your nightmare left you breathless and sweaty when you awoke. 

Or maybe it was because you had a thick sweater draped across you, with a note pinned to it. ‘You looked so peaceful, I couldn't wake you. I'll get a house elf to bring you some dinner so you can be alone. Rest well. Good job today Y/N/N’

You could tell it was Remus’ writing. You swore you could kiss him right then.

You had been nervous all week, but finally Friday had arrived. Sitting with your friends at breakfast, not touching the food Lily had loaded onto your plate, a letter arrived for you. 

I will be there at 9 am. Wait for me at the front doors and do not be late.

“It’s gonna be just fine Y/N, We’re going to be here all day.” Sirius said with a mouth full of food.
