jeon jungkook is lips left tender from spicy food, the sweat on your palms when you meet new people, and the way adrenaline turns your blood to lightning. he's black nail polish and scented lotion, is the way city lights look through view finders and the comfort of oversized hoodies. hes falling with the knowledge that someone will always catch you, the scent of clean laundry, and the way you own a dozen empty notebooks but buy another anyway, because you know one day you'll fill them all.

jungkook is child-like joy and doodling in class, is sneaking out at midnight and the taste of cherry chapstick. hes leather jackets and choosing dare, but also fresh picked flowers and red-string daydreams. hes having a playlist for every mood and dancing in your room, singing along till your throat feels raw. you can find him in the turn of a perfect cartwheel, the roar of the ocean, the triumph of a hard earned win, and the warmth that comes from being surrounded by the ones you love.

jeon junkook feels a little bit first-love sweetness and a little bit like overwhelming pressure; he feels like holding tight enough to your dreams that your fists ache, and the breathless wonder you're filled with when you finally, finally find the place you belong.

Damn! This is finished. The ending was so well written! I like how you focused on the remedy for the ups and downs in their relationship in the final chapter and also how you created a whole different story for the mysterious scientist Min Yoongi.Honestly, I am having a bittersweet feeling cause I didn't want this to end😭Thank you for writing so well. All the characters were very well portrayed. Thank you for working hard! You did great!

Jeongguk had headed towards the door, and you’d gone to stash the scales away someplace safe, accepting that the argument would have to be resumed later. You didn’t go through all that with Jeongguk just for Taehyung to accidentally crush the box or—god forbid—anyone noticing what the source of any eventual hurt feelings was.

A few moments later, and with the scales hidden away, you returned to the hallway, your friends and former colleagues already inside and busy taking their shoes off.

There was Hoseok, Namjoon, Taehyung, Mina, and then finally… Jimin.

Jungkook is young, often called the Golden Maknae, he’s the youngest in the band.

Young, most times still—‘too young.’

Too young to understand why he isn’t allowed to take pictures with their fans on the street, too young to understand why he couldn’t just jump into the crowd to hug a ARMY who was in a wheelchair, too young to understand why having tattoos as an idol would be frowned upon by some. 

Too young, too naive to fully understand how the world works. It irks him sometimes. 

But, he doesn’t always mind being called ‘young.' 

No, because it means he could pick up the choreography the quickest, was the most energetic during fan meetings, danced the hardest during concerts, and would smile the brightest no matter what. 

He still has the spirit, the drive, the need to prove something. 

It isn’t like his Hyungs don’t. They were all driven but Jungkook was—a bull tied to a truck, huffing and puffing with pulsing, neck veins—driven. 

It was a different kind of drive. 

Tae-hyung could act, Jimin-ssi was a trained dancer, Hobi-hyung had a mixtape out, Yoongi-hyung was a music producer who had the most collaborations under his name between all of them, Jin-hyung was a trained actor and he had his face and that was an accomplishment on its own and then lastly there was Rapmon-hyung.

Rapmon-hyung, the reason behind why Jungkook is, who he is today. Kim Namjoon, an idol’s idol—his idol.

Jungkook though? He knows he can do a little of everything but when he thinks about it, he wasn’t a master of anything. 

Sure, he could sing—was the lead vocalist, but sometimes he thinks it’s just a title. Tae-hyung had a voice like liquid, molten gold, while Jimin-hyungs was one of a kind.  

BTS could live on without Jungkook, but without BTS, Jungkook had nothing.
