I also really enjoy what they’ve done with Alicent’s children and their relationship to physical touch.

Aegon is almost always approached violently, except a handful of times where Alicent is gentle with him but only in extreme circumstance, like kissing his forehead while making him king or clutching his arm while shielding him from death with her own body. It’s emotionally confusing for them both and leaves Aegon desperately seeking approval.

Helaena dislikes being touched and Alicent knows that but Helaena is constantly having to knock her hands away because she’s Alicent’s only girl and Alicent needs to touch her to protect her but it only ever makes them both more anxious

Lastly Aemond, who seems to be used to such an over-saturation of affection from Alicent that if she’s upset with him and withdraws it for even a moment he spirals so badly he literally has to pay someone that looks like his mother to hold him instead
