I Might Never Be A Notable Writer And I Might Never Get A Huge Book Deal And My Books Might Never Get
I might never be a notable writer and I might never get a huge book deal and my books might never get turned into movies but who cares? I've found absolute paradise sitting on my porch in the rain weaving words together and feeling the cool wind of an august storm on my face. No failure could ever take this sort of joy away from me.

Writerblr I need your help ðŸ˜
I've just been put in charge of this writing club, we need 4 members to have a club. We have 4. My friends who write but don't want join the club says it's too boring. The set up used last year was:
Writing prompt
Share what we wrote for the writing prompt
Lecture type thing on an aspect of writing
Talk about our WIPs
The ideas I have so far are optional contests (they will have gift cards as prizes) and putting up posters to get the word out about it.
If you have any ideas that could help me, please please please share them.

This is Haneen and Mohammed. They have been married for 6 years. Their dream was to have a baby together.
But their dream went with the destruction of the fertility bank and the gynecology clinic in northern Gaza along with the collapse of the healthcare system.
The supermarket near them was bombed.
Their only source of income was bombed.
They are also caring for Mohammed's (80-year-old) father. That supermarket was the only source that get them to survive and hope for having another baby someday when the war finished.
There is still a chance for them. Help them leave Gaza and find a better future.

My eyes are cloud in ink
My face buried in soil
My mouth coughs up blood
I can no longer think
I can only toil
As I fall again with a thud
I can no longer see
I can no longer breathe
I can no longer try
My death should be assured
The reaper at my door
Why then,can I not die
AHHHHHH GUYS I GET ANONYMOUS POETRY NOW
Rip out my heart its yours anyway ðŸ˜
This is absolutely beautiful. Whoever you are you should post your poems (if you don't already), if they're anything like this one people should see them.
PLEASE DO NOT SCROLL

Help Raneen Ibrahim and his family. Due to the war they were displaced to Rafah, and then moved to Deir al-Balah after the invasion of Rafah.
Their home has been completely destroyed. Their memories, their lives, and their precious belongings - all gone.
Their daughter Julia is suffering from shortness of breath due to the smell of rockets and war debris scattered in the streets. Hospitals are no longer available as they used to be to provide her with the necessary care.
Please help however you can.

If you can't donate, please reblog so we can reach more people who can.
WRITING CHARACTERS TIPS
If you already have details for the character (ex: they like classical music), ask why. It helps to flesh out the character (ex: their older sister used to play it while they had tea parties, they play it when they miss her)
Make your characters want things, that want controls their actions. Also, MAKE IT MATTER! What's stopping them from getting it? What happens (or what do they think will happen) if they don't get it?
Most of the time strengths and weaknesses are the same thing. Your character may be a strong leader and that's great sometimes, but they can also become (or seem) bossy/controlling.
You are not creating real people; you are making the illusion of one. Don't be afraid to play God. Sure, you can throw events at characters to force them to make that decision, or you can make them the kind of person who would do it anyway. You don't have to know they're favorite food, unless it would come up in the story. Include some details, but make sure they have a purpose (see tip 1)
The characters first line should say something about them and they're last line of the story should say something about them. I like to use it to show how they changed.
