At This Point Cortana Has Reached The Same Status As Thors Hammer
At this point Cortana has reached the same status as Thor’s hammer
Now that Kit also is a Carstairs, I want him to wield Cortana at least once in TWP to show he’s also worthy of the Carstairs’ sword

Me with every single TLH character
literary criticism is actually so easy. when a character does something i like, they're a fully realized autonomous being who made the decisions they did of their own free will and i know them personally. and when they do something i don't like, they're just a vehicle for themes and motifs being driven by a creator whose narrative vision is fundamentally flawed and who will never understand them like i do.
cassie WILL post something on The Red Scrolls of Magic's birthday

I love this. Also, the way Matthew would absolutely come running to James and Cordelia to complain about Alastair. And Cordelia would try to be diplomatic while Jame would humour him probably to the point of planning some counterattack.
no no no but we absolutely should talk about the fact that alastair could 100% get into the fairchild's house to mess with matthew when he's staying there rather than in marylebone. he definitely knows where the spare keys are. he could probably scale the roof by touch.
alastair's helpful but also likes trolling. matthew just gets home and his room is super clean and sanitized. there's a note warning him about the dangers of his horribly messy lifestyle. it scares the shit out of him. he thinks the house is haunted.
periodically, alastair will leave him random gifts. matthew comes home and there's a puff pastry on his bed. no one knows where it came from. he eats it anyway. maybe it's poison. maybe it's delicious. russian roulette, baby.
eventually, alastair's bored with the jig. matthew gets home and alastair's just sitting in an armchair in his room eating and reading one of his books.
matthew screams like a little girl.
Jace would start it, assuming that she won’t notice, and then she’d drop all pretenses of chivalry and outcheat him
