i really appreciate how studio bones translated ONE's style into anime for mp100. they preserved the simplicity of it perfectly, basically just improving anatomy, proportions, and gesture.

and they didnt lose any of the emotion either! ONE's style is basically the manga equivalent of this panel from tails gets trolled

and bones managed to keep that. they even slipped into ONE's tendecy to draw characters worse when they feel stupid

seeing teru regress back to using simplistic, over confident attacks (and none of the abilities he's learned along his arc!) while ALSO reverting to his wobbly bent knee stance is such an incredibly good way of showing that dimple's wrong.

these aren't mob's friends. if he plays with their minds, with what they believe in, they aren't the same people anymore. mob psycho 100 is a story ABOUT belief. not just belief in spirits and the power of faith, but specifically, people believing in each other. robbing the characters of their choice to believe in something of their own free will is the Ultimate evil–more than any guys in shoulder pads or business suits ever could be. of course mob is furious. he spent six months in an imaginary world full of twisted versions of his friends and family. what did dimple think would happen if he made that real?
