If, in the early 2000's, you had told me that the child who played Dudley Dursley would go on to be a very talented actor, and also, that a majority of the Hogwarts student body supporting cast would never be seen again, I would not have believed you.
Yet, here we are.
(Yes, I just watched The Devil All The Time on Netflix. And The Old Guard several weeks back.)

Day 14
I was due to check out of the hotel this morning but.

Ewww.
Just four hours west but I'm disinclined to plunge into that, especially on new tires (new bike tires tend to be a bit slippery until they're "scrubbed in", so add colder weather and wet roads and mountain curves, and it's an uneasy mix).
Also very tired after my late night hooning, so made a call to stay here longer. Spent the day resting, then bounced back to West Edmonton Mall to pick up a present for Garwik.
Canadian Tire for a hatchet - hadn't packed one because I wasn't planning on foraging for firewood, but so many of the little campgrounds have wood precut for free, I just had no means to break it down or splinter the sides for easier burning.
Might go north and see Fort McMurry tomorrow? 5 hours each way, but I can leave my gear here, and I won't have to worry about driving in the dark since I won't be making a camp. Not sure if the oilsands are interesting to look at, but that town's had some bad environmental disasters in the last few years. Fires and Floods.

Day 7

Teulon-Rockwood Green Acres Park for the night.

Gimli Viking Park

He looks ready to go. Even got the (wrong) helmet on!

More park photos, Gimli, Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Day 5

Ignace lookout.

Stop in Dryden for new flags.

Dryden moose. Statue is 1:1 scale for real animal.

Husky the Muskie (largest member of the Pike family, as seen here), Kenora.

Can you believe Kenora area used to be called Rat Portage, and they CHANGED IT? SHAME.

Joseph Campbell's "Crossing the First Threshold".

Or not.

Yay! Super thanks to the folks that stopped to help!
