Tragic Love On Ice

Park Sunghoon was an experienced and skilled figure skater, known for his impressive leaps and graceful pirouettes.

He always had your support as his best friend who accompanied him to all competitions.

One day, Sunghoon found himself thinking about you, and how important your presence was to him, how happy he was just to be able to see you, and how he loved skating or doing anything with you. It was on that day that he realized he was falling in love with you.

Since then, days passed... months... years...

And he was absolutely sure that he loved you and that he wanted to spend the rest of his days by your side. But you were not aware of his true feelings, because he was afraid that it would change the relationship between you two.

And his biggest fear was losing you.

So he kept it as his most deepest secret.

But then, in a winter day, overcome by an overwhelming feeling of courage, he decided it was time to let you know how he really felt.

He wanted to do something special, so he invited you to go ice skating on the frozen lake next to the park, you've been doing it together since you were little, it would be just perfect.

"Y/n, I need to tell you something... I know it might sound weird, but you know, we've known each other for a long time.. and I've admired you for a long time and I think ... I think that I'm in love with you," he confessed as you skated side by side.

You suddenly stopped skating, causing him to stop too. "What? Park Sunghoon, are you serious?", you asked, surprised by the statement.

"Yes, I'm serious. I know it may sound cliché, but I can't hide my feelings anymore. I wanted to do something special to tell you that, and ice skating seemed perfect," he said, smiling.

"Hoon, I... I don't know what to say," you confessed, still trying to process the news. "I always thought you were amazing, but I never thought you could be interested in me."

He smiled awkwardly "I understand. I just wanted to tell you this, no need to push yourself if you don't have an answer. What matters is that now you know how I feel. And now, let's go skating together", he added, taking your hand.

You skated together for a long time, enjoying each other's company, talking and laughing as you always did.

But then, without a warning, the ice began to crack.

"Sunghoon, what's going on? The ice is breaking!", you shouted, scared.

"Don't worry, I'll get you out of here," he said, trying to remain calm.

Unfortunately, saying that was easier than doing, with the speed at which the ice was breaking, it was extremely difficult not to worry.

He even managed to pull you close, but the ice continued to crack under your feet.

Sunghoon struggled to stay above water, but you, on the other hand, weren't so lucky.

"Y/n, hold my hand!" he yelled, holding out his arm.

He hoped that he would feel the delicate touch of your hand in his one more time, he hoped that he could see you again...

But it was too late

You had already sunk into the cold, dark water.

Sunghoon desperately tried to find you, diving several times, but to no avail.

Ultimately, he had to admit defeat and let the rescuers handle the situation.

When he emerged from the water, he was shivering with cold and shock. He blamed himself for your death and the grief he had caused your family and friends.

      What was supposed to be a romantic and happy day had.  ended tragically and painfully, leaving him with a life full of regrets.

After the sad incident, Sunghoon never wanted to skate again as the memory of that day was too strong for him.

He sank into a deep sea of guilt for not being able to save the person he loved the most. You.

And so, he lived the rest of his life with a broken heart, always remembering the day he lost you on the frozen lake.
