a│s : agere & communication.
learning about communication + the different types can be so benifical for a personal's comfortability and wellbeing! we can't all communication in the standardized way - and that's completely okay!
vocal
this is one of the most common forms of communicating (both in agere and the general population)
we can vocalise the things we need, if we need assistance, if we need something changing!
of course it's not always the easiest to do, especially in a vunerable headspace or environment - which is why some platonic pairings come up code words to help!
sign language
sign language is such a beautiful thing to learn! and is a common communication tool used by littles who struggle with speech (or certain words) or are deaf <3.
tip : be sure you're using the same sign language to communicate to avoid confusion! for example, the sign lanugage i used to communicate with daddy may differ to yours due to a language barrier or country!
- eg: sign language in the uk is called bsl + in the us it's called asl.
writing
writing is another form of communication!
whether that's communicating through the interent (on discord or instagram!) or using cue cards or relying on a communication notebook or an aac to speak for you!
it's a farely common form of communication as it's convenient to use and understand <3
body language/sounds
in some cases, communication is made through body language and unique sounds rather than words!
just bcause it lacks words, doesn't mean it's less than or less valid than the other forms of communication dicussed! - if anything it's more unique to the indiviudal and it still can be understood by those closest to them!

if you are a little or a caregiver who uses a mobility and/or an accessibility aid, reblog this post!! i want to see how many of us there are!
i’ll go first! i am a cane user, an AAC user, and a noise cancelling headphone user!!
not intended to be reblog bait, i just really wanna know i’m not alone. feel free to ignore if you dislike these kinds of posts :]

Age Regression Journal Ideas!
Not long ago I posted a photo of the cover of my regression journal, and a few people were wondering what sorts of things could go in it!
So, for anyone who wants to make their own, or has one and is looking for inspiration for things to do in it, here are some ideas!

Writing Prompts:
✿ If you’re stuck for ideas, a great place to start is to write a little about yourself! What’s your name, favourite nickname, colour, animal? What makes you feel small?
✿ If you struggle with remembering to look after yourself at all, a self-care checklist can be great!
✿ Write profiles for your stuffies! You can draw them too, or print photos of them and stick them in!
✿ Do you play out stories with your stuffies, dolls or other toys? Write them down!
✿ If you enjoy writing stories, make up a fairy tale! Maybe you and your caregiver (if you have one) could be in it!

Other Ideas:
✿ When you get a new stuffie, keep the tag and glue it in! The same goes for cute bits of packaging - cut out bits of them and stick them in too!
✿ Draw or doodle anything you like! For an idea to get started, how about some kiddie or baby things like pacifiers and building blocks?
✿ Decorate what you write with stickers! Bonus: use stickers to make a whole scene or picture! Draw in the gaps, or draw first and add stickers after!
✿ If you have loose colouring pages, stick them in or keep them between the pages of the journal! Some journals have pockets in the back, so you could use that if you like!

This is just a short list of ideas, there’s loads more you could potentially do! Feel free to add to this if you like!
♥ ✿ ♥ Hope this helps inspire you to start journalling! ♥ ✿ ♥
