I imagine it’s the threat of any one member getting too popular as a solo act and that creating discord within the group. I just wish, instead of taking it out on Jimin through these OT6 antics, they’d remind themselves that Jimin has been very vocal about prioritizing group projects and wanting to stay together as BTS for a long time. He’s not about to go solo and the members seem as kumbaya as ever. The only place this problem exists is within the fandom and specifically the insecure part of the fandom.

some big bts fanbase (100k+ followers on twt) just got exposed as ot6 for letting jimin out of their header. I always wonder why some “ot7” on this fandom don’t like jimin and i never reach a conclusive answer. Tkkrs hate him because he threatens their fantasies, but what about those “ot7” (*cough ot6 cough*) people? If u have some answers please, i’m all ears ❤️

At no point during the neck lint picking does Jungkook put his face close to Tae’s face. He is 100% focused on whatever is on his neck. Don’t let pictures and the angle of rotation fool you, anon.

If you watch that clip coming away thinking it looks in any way romantic you’re being played for a fool by your cognitive bias. Jungkook is easily the number one lint-picker in BTS. He’s picked lint off of necks, faces, hair, shoulders, etc of all the members and I don’t think it’s his attempt at building a harem as much as the fact that he has a fastidious streak.

It’s also absolutely amazing to me that you’d consider this moment a ~threat to jikook but not, for example, Jungkook gleefully being all over Hobi attempting by the looks of it to unbutton his shirt.

You’d do better to drag out virtually any interaction between any other possible Jimin or Jungkook pairing to disprove jikook. Taekook’s interactions are as a general rule as far from romantic as you can get (and please don’t mistake Tae’s intense stare for romance, he literally looks like that at everyone, it’s one of his defining features).

Jimin and Jungkook might not be together romantically. They might, in fact, have other romantic partners but you will not find those partners in BTS. I can promise you that. Taekook doesn’t even number among the very slightly likelier Bangtan couples. Jihope, hopekook, vhope, vmin and taejin are couples few people honestly think are real, yet they are all far more likely to actually be real than taekook. The only thing taekook has that the others doesn’t is a lobby that spend all their time twisting peoples’ perception.

On my immensely jikook heavy twitter feed I saw plenty of taekook clips yesterday because jikookers, as a general rule, don’t feel the slightest bit threatened by taekook interacting. Never mistake most jikookers immense dislike for the taekooker-shippers as dislike for the members involved.

Honestly I think the Jimin is a seducer/attention seeker/whore narrative is pretty much due to misogyny triggered by Jimin’s at times feminine gender expression. Jimin has a lovely balance of masculinity and femininity but people who aren’t exactly progressive can be really bothered by that. Combine that with their sexist ideas of women as whores and sluts if they take an active role in flirtation or pursuing someone and voilà! These sexist judgments are projected onto Jimin. Judging by behavior alone, the maknae line should be treated similarly when it comes to how much they flirt and how clingy they can be with the other members but, in actuality, the boys who present more traditionally masculine get away with much more. JK can nibble on Jimin’s ear on stage and it’s a gesture of comfort at best and fan service at worst. Imagine if Jimin did that? The guy can’t even take a picture with JK without accusations of throwing himself at him. It’s sad, really, not just for Jimin but these people hating on him too because the majority of them are women who likely judge everyone including themselves according to these outdated ideas.

I’m a baby army, just some months into the fandom so far. I got introduced to their music through a co-worker, she was constantly playing their music at work and I got curios. when she was introducing each member everything was ok, but then it came this part of “there are some famous ships in the fandom too” ( I was familiar with the concept of shipping and I asked if it was a thing in army) the answer was that “it’s cannon in the fandom and everyone knows that V and Jungkook are together, there is so much prove about it but we protect them ” “yoonmin it’s canon too but we don’t know much about them” and to be honest I just thought to myself oh well, ok, because of course I was not familiar with anything at the time. I have to admit she never said anything negative about any of the guys while introducing them to me, but as I started watching original content like BTS run, Bon voyage, The Soop, Jikook caught my eye and I started to search more about them and I was like wait a minute. weren’t these two lovebirds supposed to be the cannon of another pair each? 🤔 ones I asked about it the answer was simple and plain “Yeah those 2 spend a lot of time together, Jimin is kinda of an attention sicker, if you look close Jungkook it’s so done with him 99% of the time” and I was shocked, didn’t we saw the same content or what? My point in here it’s that she wasn’t the only one, ones I got introduced to other army I could see a lot of them claiming Jimin being an attention sicker and even a seductor by nature that only those it for fun and manipulation to the younger member (don’t know if these people realize jk it’s 24, he might be the maknae but he’s not 11 and forcing him… that man has too much muscle and brains for me to believe it’s Jimin’s victim) Do you think that’s the reason a lot of “army” allow jikook to get so much hate? Regardless of their bias or if they are “Ot7” Has Army as a fandom normalized calling Jimin basically a man wh0r€ but with kinder and disguised words? Yes, I do believe that part of it is the green eyed monster. But I think it's kind of a mixture of that with so much homophobia too. It's so much easier to call JM a whore, a seductor, someone that is throwing himself, forcing himself on JK, than resigning themselves to the idea that JK is queer and madly in love with this other gorgeous human being.

And funny how these people call themselves true fans all while being super ignorant about who these two young men are as human beings.

On the one hand JK is this helpless child in their eyes, being forced by Hybe and JM into whatever they think they are doing. But on the other hand they see, well want to see, JK as a confident sexy "international playboy", a womanizer, or 'fuckboy' as one of my anons called him (which kind of also contradicts him being forced into something with JM).

Painting JM as this seductive flirt, and JK as this helpless being. The muscle pig that JM goes all wobbly giddy shy around, yes he's being forced into this.

They ignore their personalities. They ignore what they both say. They ignore what they both do.

Did JM force JK to suck on his ear in front of thousands of fans, or to tattoo his name on his hand, or to say "love you" to him during the LV concert? Did JM force JK to carry him out of the stadium? Heck no, to all of the above.

They have been denying this relationship for years now, thing is it's getting harder and harder for them as time goes by, and the louder and louder these boys get.
