"last year i painted a fawn for my art final. i learned they sometimes are left alone by their mothers for up to 12 hours. they know to sit quietly and wait so as not to be found by a predator. and it reminded me that when i was a kid, i went to my uncle's house and there was a baby deer in his living room. i dont know if he found her waiting for her mother to return or if he killed the mother. i think to fawn is to sit patiently, your fate in the hands of whoever has more power than you." - chimericesse (pinterest)
