something that I would give my firstborn child for --it’s implied in episode 4 that leia and vader have met before, that they have a history, “you weren’t on any mercy mission this time, your highness,” etc, and I thought (hoped) we’d see the seed of that in kenobi - listen, all I’m saying is that I need to know the canon reason for that statement, like when did vader and leia interact to where he knows her personally and gets irritated by her on a level (”you are part of the rebel alliance and a traitor, TAKE HER AWAY!”) unmatched by any other opponent in the original trilogy episodes (even OBI-WAN....OBI-WAN) except for Luke when he calls Vader Anakin to his face and even that pales in comparison, like this is begging for an explanation and there are so many possible ones (work enemies? reluctant babysitter and co? got stuck together in a broken elevator for 6 hours?) that I need canon to address it thank you very much

It breaks my heart that he was starved of the chance to play an active role in Luke and Leia's lives. He could have been such a great uncle/grandfather figure 😭
