This may be the oldest known drawing of a supernova, found in the disputed Kashmir region between India and Pakistan. Scholars found this odd rock art with two “suns,” and dated it to 3600 BCE, which roughly coincides with supernova HB9’s explosion.

Vaikuntha Chaturmurti 11th century. Marble sculpture. Gujarat/Rajasthan. 37 x 27 x 19cm.
The sculpture represents a form of Vishnu. The placid face in the centre is that of Vasudeva; the one on his right is of Narasimha and that on the left is of Varaha. Usually such images have a fourth, fierce face at the back which is absent in our image since it was in all probability a bas-relief. (via CSMVS Mumbai)
