Why does Jean have a similar hairstyle and beard combo as Kenny? Did Isayama do it on purpose?

I’ve had a couple of asks about this and I’m not sure I’m seeing any significant resemblance?? I mean, Kenny and Jean both have long faces and the beard style is the same but maybe it’s just artistic? Maybe Isayama likes this look? 

I’m sure he wanted Jean’s facial hair to be distinct from Reiner’s so maybe that’s why he decided to recycle the goatee and neckbeard for Jean. An artist should probably weigh in on this.

tbh, I’ve always though that Jean most resembles Historia’s mom :) Put a wig on that guy and tell me that don’t look like twinsies.
