“Come off it, Blondie. You’re not going anywhere like this, you can hardly get up. I’ll let go when you’re stable,“ she commented with a sigh, trying to figure out how to proceed. He didn’t trust her, the metal guy probably wouldn’t either...but she needed answers and a ticket out of here, so it was time to offer him something in exchange.
“...look, I’m not particularly loyal to Cornello, even I realize he’s using me and lying to these people. What he’s doing looks just like what we can do, but he doesn’t have to clap or follow the rules of equivalency,” she started, continuing her ministrations to warm him up. It was the most she could do at the moment. “You want out of here, so do I. I want answers, and Cornello certainly isn’t going to give me any. You help me figure out my problems, and I’ll help you out of the one I got you and the big guy into, wherever he went. I didn’t see them throw him in, so I’m assuming he’s hiding somewhere,” she continued, shutting her eyes for a moment. Those two were her only hope at this point, she needed whatever answers and resources they had...so she had to do her part in getting them all out and waking up these poor sods.
“I’m at a dead end, and I’m desperate. You and the tin man are my only hope; I’ll do whatever you want, anything. Just tell me what I can do for you now, whatever it takes to get away from this demented shepherd and his brainwashed sheep...I’ll do it, whatever you deem equivalent to what I’m asking you to do for me, no questions asked,” Aurora finished, hoping that putting her cards on the table would convince him of her sincerity, and to help her...

Oh, she certainly deserved that. The false goddess wasn’t about to deny that; even if she hadn’t meant to scream, she had, and it got them into this mess. She felt guilty enough, but he was right. He had no reason to trust her, after what her people put him and his brother through because of her. The elder Elric had every right to be pissed at her, because she had, in the end, gotten him tossed into the water. Sighing softly, she pulled over a bucket to them in case he got violently ill.
“Other than trying to help, nothing much,” she joked. “Oh, I’m not denying that. I deserved that comment for the mess I got you and the big guy into…” she started, gently continuing to rub his back and arms to further warm him up with the friction. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to alert the guards before..” she bit her lip as she grabbed another blanket. “I wasn’t expecting Cray and the townsfolk to try to drown you, either. I thought they’d just lock you up for interrogation purposes, not try to turn the drinking water into corpse soup…” she added, flinching when he asked for her name.
“I’m glad I managed to convince them not to drown you, you probably sank like a rock with those limbs of yours….” she sighed, having stalled a bit while she thought of an answer…but she’d have to tell the truth.
“I…don’t remember. I haven’t got a clue what my name is, or who I actually am. Cornello found me passed out by one of the Leto statues, and fed the town that story about being ‘Aurora, the Goddess of Dawn, daughter of Leto’ or something like that. Pretty sure at this point he came up with that one on the spot. It wasn’t like I had anywhere else to go, or anyone to explain to me why I can seem to…do what I do, so I let him do what he wanted. He said my ability to do that ‘alchemy’ stuff without a circle was what made me a god, because no one else could do it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt…until I saw you do it too, at least…” she explained.
He’s still leaned against her, even as she speaks and explains everything. More apologies. Honestly, he really didn’t want them. But then again he also didn’t want to go swimming today either. He’d just wanted to get what information he could on the stone and if it panned out to be a dead end - again - then they would have been on their merry way but no nothing can ever be that easy.
But apparently from what she’s saying, she managed to pull from strings and get him fished out of that godforsaken puddle - and she’d figured out he had automail from how she spoke of him. He let her continue without a comment, though he could do without the twinge of attitude he picked up from her in the beginning even if she was just meeting his sarcasm with her own.
He’s wiggling, trying to set up a little but he’s wobbling where he sets as he pulls away from her and decides that the world is spinning far too much to attempt to go much further - but fuck it with his hands free - he should just go find his brother himself. There was the little matter of that asshole Cornello and his ring to be attended to as well though…
But according to this girl she has no memories - not a one - yet somehow she can perform alchemy and without a circle no less. That means she must have passed through the portal - done something stupid like they did. Did it strip her of her memories for her toll like it took their bodies from them? That would make sense.
Whelp it sounded like Aurora was gunna have to do.
“ Well then ‘Rora, if her holiness would be so kind as ta let me go - I’ll gather myself and I’ll be on my way. I don’t really have any intention of stayin’ in a town with a lynch mob waitin’ fer me. Don’t think I’d get much sleep.”
There’s a shrug of his shoulders head flopped to the side as he lets this girl hold him. Fuck he almost died, he doesn’t have it in him to care.
Where was Alphonse?!
Dammit he just wanted his brother, but he wasn’t about to let this girl know he was still alive. The crowd had ‘pushed the other heathen’ in first after all. The fake armor he’d created sinking like a rock before him. He hadn’t been awake for that or he would have had to put on a grand show of pleading.
But he was positive Alphonse had to be losing his mind about now.
"Hey, you!" *pokes*
“Hey yourself, handsome,” Willow smiled a little, giggling when Ed poked her like that.

Willow immediately took off her golden choker to put on Ed’s necklace, her smile wide as she felt the pentant fall to just above her breasts. At Ed’s words, she shook her head, her smile fading a bit. “You didn’t though, it was an accident! I still feel so bad for the way I acted!” Willow told him as she unwrapped the second gift, the memory still making her feel guilty. And now he’d replaced it, thinking it was his fault!...but she tried to focus on the ‘actual’ gift she still considered the necklace just as much of a gift, and it needn’t have been bought.

“It is to me, though…I…don’t think I’ve ever…well, I don’t remember ever getting a gift before..” she mumbled, referring to the fact that if she had received anything before, she couldn’t remember anymore due to the gate taking her memories. She didn’t really count the gold jewelry from Cornello that she used to make herself new jewelry, though. He’d just made them for her to make her look more ‘goddess’ like. When she opened the box, her eyes widened at the little metalic ladybug pendant.
“Oh, Ed…you didn’t…it’s been so many years now, I’m not even mad about it anymore…” she spoke, almost speechless at how thoughtful this gift had been. And he couldn’t even transmute anymore, so he must’ve paid quite a bit for this. She immediately leaned up to kiss his cheek. “Thank you so much, it’s perfect…”
Ed smiled at her reaction and shrugged. It had cost a lot of money to have it made for her, but he knew that he had owed it to her from so long ago. Although she wasn’t still thinking about it, it crossed his mind quite often, “You don’t have to thank me, I owe it to you… The other thing is more of a gift than that.”
