Before hand I would like to apologize for any grammar errors I am dumb and wrote this at 2 AM.

Episode five and six of Moon Knight really did just say fuck all you Marvel fans. I deeply hope they don’t end the show here because I have thoughts and feelings and I could write an entire essay off of how hurt this show makes me and everyone else for the last two episodes because I am D E E P L Y wounded.

First off, in the first episode When Steven is telling the little girl about the funeral rites for pharaohs and the Egyptian afterlife the little girl is like “did it suck that you didn’t go to get to go to the field of reeds?” and Steven’s like “I obviously wouldn’t know I’m not dead” yeah off of that alone we should’ve expected Steven to die it’s just I don’t think anybody caught it because I don’t think anyone was listening to what that little girl said for real anyway.

Second off, in my opinion, and this is going to sound extremely harsh, but Randall’s death is kinda Marc’s parent’s fault. How do you let two children who can’t be anymore any older than 10 or 11 go off and play in a cave by themselves? And before anybody re-blog this and be like “Oh well their mom told Marc to protect Randall” I wanna remind you that they were children. How much fucking protection do you think a child is going to offer another child realistically? not a whole lot, they’re children they have no strength and no muscle. From what we hear when Steven actually starts to witness the trauma we (or at least I) didn’t hear any adult voices trying to get Randall out of the cave so it kind of paints a picture oh neither one of their parents came to get them or to check on them the entire time they were out playing in that fucking cave. like I’m not trying to invalidate the mothers grieving know fully she’s allowed to grieve I just think she has far less room to blame all of this on Marc then she probably thinks she and I don’t feel like the dad also realized that kinda. Which brings me to my second point about this whole thing, his dad. His father was a doormat the entire time. Yes he did fully recognize what his wife was doing was wrong and that it wasn’t fair to their son and yes from the little snippets that we did here it did sound like he tried to get her help but clearly he wasn’t trying hard enough or at least Marc didn’t think he was. I’m glad Marc‘s father was at least there to reassure him that none of this was his fault every time his mother came to assert that it was and tear him down again, but clearly that reassurance was only going to do so much. Whether you agree with me or not on Randall‘s death being on their parents or not we can all still agree that it’s definitely fucking not Marc‘s fault. Blaming a child for another child’s death is like blaming a cat for your house getting robbed.
