Reyes X Reader Story Prompt Pt. 2
Reyes X Reader story prompt Pt. 2
The next morning, Y/n woke up later than usual to get more sleep. Her clock read 9:26.
She groaned as she stretched her limbs and pushed aside a few locks of hair out of her face.
Groggily, she sat up and swung her feet over the carpeted floor, standing and stretching once more.
Y/n made herself some toast and eggs, spacing out as she did so.
A loud thunk startled her out of her daze as she looked to the floor to see her phone had fallen from the table.
She picked it up, sat down, and started her meal.
Y/n managed to find some decent jobs and applied for a few of them while also going grocery shopping.
"Damn, I am wiped," she said as she finished putting her groceries away and plopped herself onto one of the kitchen table chairs.
It was 3:57 PM, the wind gentle and the sun illuminating the fading, blue sky.
The sound of a door opening and closing caught her attention as she sat up and looked around.
"Hello?"
No response.
Did I leave my door unlocked when I left?
The faucet turned on slowly.
Y/n turned her head quickly, eyeing it with suspicion.
She stood and shut it off, only for the TV to turn on.
"Okay, you have my attention. Is there something you want?" she asked as she shut the TV off.
The entity's response was to knock both pillows off of the couch.
"You wanna sit on the couch?"
A pillow resting on a nearby chair was flung at her torso.
"Hey! Okay, that wasn't it…. If you can't tell me then give me a sign or some indicator of what you want."
In these next seconds, the world seemed to have muted itself, for all that was heard was a whisper in her right ear,
"L̷̥͐é̶̞â̸̮v̵̻̒e̵̥̓.̵̘̂."
Y/n's eyes widened as goosebumps ran up and down her body.
She froze, a chill running down her spine.
In the entirety of her witch career, she had never heard an entity speak so clearly.
She quickly shut her eyes and reminded herself to stay calm.
"Why? Remember what I told you last night? I know how to protect myself against beings like you. I'm not leaving. This is my house that I bought with my money, so I'm staying right here. Even if I were to leave, I've got no where else to go. Not in this area at least."
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a side table with a drawer that had come with the house.
It was dark brown with a black, metal handle. It was quite modern in appearance, despite the house being around ten years old. Probably left from the last owner after they moved.
Y/n's intuition was telling her to open it.
Step by step, she inched her way over to it, feeling her anxiety rise. She opened it to reveal a dog tag necklace.
Cautiously, she picked it up and inspected it.
REYES

"Gabriel Reyes..."
"P̴͈̽u̸̢̓t̵͉̉ ̷̣͛t̵̞̑ḥ̵̄a̸̝̐t̷̔͜ ̶̜͐b̵̰̉a̸̙̅c̶̹͘k̷̤̿.̵͚͌"
"…Is this you?"
"P̵͇̓Ù̵̢Ț̴̄ ̷̣̊I̵̤͠Ț̶̓ ̵̙̍B̵̳̔À̵̹C̷͈̐K̵̢̈́.̵̥̈́"
"Okay, okay! Putting it back."
She placed the accessory back inside the drawer, her's eyes lingering on it before turning around. Behind her was a black, misty figure standing in front of her couch, just a few feet away from her.
"D̷͉̏ó̷̩ṉ̵͑'̵̳͝t̶̮͝ ̵͈́t̷̖̀ō̷͙ù̴͇c̶̯̐ȟ̸̫ ̴̣́t̸̩͑h̵̘͋a̴̭͠t̵̞̒ ̵̧̈́ā̴̼n̵̩̾d̴̠̋ ̵̤̈́d̵̤̽o̵̺̚ṉ̶̓'̶͇͠t̴͔̾ ̶̖́s̸̟͂a̸͉͠ỳ̶͈ ̸̻̿t̴̼̀h̸̨͑ǎ̷̺t̷͖̑ ̶͓̆ṅ̵̹a̵͔̔m̷̹̂e̵͔̓ ̴͚͗a̶̗̐ǵ̸̡a̴̡̅i̸͕͑n̵̦̓.̴̒"
She stared at the entity in shock as the fear welled up inside her.
"…Sure, noted. …Are you a demon?"
The figure just stood there.
No movement, no sound.
Nothing.
The next time Y/n blinked, the misty figure vanished, leaving a trail of mist lingering in it's spot before disappearing with the rest of itself.
"…What the fuck was that?"

Reyes X Reader story prompt Pt. 1
Prompt: Spirit/dead Reyes, father-figure Reyes, modern witch reader
Words: 649
Y/n opened the door to her new, and first house, with a large box in hand.She set it down and let out a grunt as she examined the space around her.
"Alright, the place seems to be in good shape, now let's get settled in."
For the rest of the day, she unpacked all of her belongings and what little furniture she had, arranging them throughout the house.By the time she finished, it was nine o'clock and she couldn't have been more exhausted.
"Holy shit that took forever, but at least it looks like I live here now.... Shit, I need to look for some jobs," she said as her body lay sprawled across her small sofa. "-I'll do that tomorrow, I'm too wiped. I'll get something to nosh on and go to bed."
Y/n willed herself up from the sofa and looked inside her fridge. There wasn't much, but until she got a job, she was going to have to make do.She pulled out a slice of bread and made half of a PB&J out of it.
As she stood by her sink, which sat in front of a window overlooking the city, she saw a silhouette in the window's reflection.Startled, she turned around quickly, only to find nothing there. She thought nothing of it and finished her sandwich and cleaned up her mess soon afterwards.
Y/n made her way to her bedroom.
It was a decent sized space with a queen bed with purple and blue fairy lights wrapped around the headboard. A soft, fuzzy blanket lay folded at the foot of her bed, waiting to be used once again.
The feel of her room was modern with some whimsical and witchy twists to it, like the alter facing her bed. It consisted of various crystals, candles, and a deck of tarot cards.
A journal of sorts with a dark red, leather cover sat amongst the other items as well, with a handmade bookmark sticking out of the pages.
A white desk along with its respective chair sat next to the doorway on the right of Y/n's bed that had her tablet and laptop resting on the desk's surface.
Her favorite part of the room was the bay window on the left of her bed. Unlike most bay windows, this one consisted of one, large, rectangular window rather than three that slanted inward from each side.
The view wasn't much, but it faced an open meadow with a large tree on the right that sat beside the road leading to her driveway. A street lamp, illuminating the area with a warm light.
After getting ready to turn in for the night, the tired young woman trudged to the side of her bed closest to the window. She lifted the covers and was about to crawl in when she sensed something. It felt cold, making her shiver. This entity she was sensing was beginning to make her afraid, but she took a deep breath and looked around the room.
"I know there's something or someone here.... You don't need to make yourself known if you don't want to, but know that I'm not here to disturb you or something. If you're evil or have ill intent towards me, I ask that you leave now. I know how to protect myself in situations like this...."
Silence. Her hands were now tingling from the entity's presence. They felt closer now.
"All I ask is that you don't bother me, especially tonight. I'm exhausted from moving shit around all day and want a good nights rest, so... yeah."
The tingling seemed to subside slightly and the coldness backed off.
Y/n walked over to her alter and grabbed her amethyst and obsidian just in case. She walked back to her bed and stuck the two crystals under her pillow before climbing back in bed.
After getting comfortable, for the first time in years, she fell asleep so easily and quickly.
The entity stood a few feet outside her window, taking on the form of a misty figure, flowing in the wind.
It vanished soon after the girl fell asleep.
Reader X Cassidy short story based on prompt
I was looking through my tik tok saves for a writing prompt and found the best and angsty-est one yet: “I fucked up” “How did you fuck up?” “Because I fell for someone I can never have” “So did I”
(also this is shifting/reality shifting related so if u don't know what that is/means look it up) TW: swearing)
I walked hastily down the sidewalk, not making eye contact with the few people in the area. The buildings blocking the sun behind them made the air grow cold. I wish I was wearing a jacket right now.
The sound of boots pounding with intent not too far behind me was being drowned out by my mind whirring. I rounded a corner hastily. I took a few more steps before I started pacing back and forth in front of the building next to my work. Holding myself in distraught and from the cool air, I was completely lost within myself. No thoughts, just the constant feeling of emotions flooding my senses
"Hey."
I stopped and looked back to see Cole standing a few strides away with a concerned look on his face.
How I wish he wasn't here right now, not with me like this. Not with me knowing what I did.
"I fucked up," I said as I tossed my arms down to my sides as I looked at him. "How did you fuck up?" he asked as he stepped closer to me, just about a foot away.
"Because..." Tears started to form in my eyes as I took in every detail of his face and expression. As much as I didn't want him to be here right now, a small part of me was glad he was.
"--Because it's taking so long for me to get here and... I fell for someone I can never have, at least not now."
His expression softened as he took another step towards me. Our shoes were just inches away from each other as he reached out and grabbed one of my hands and placed the other on the side of my shoulder oh so gently.
The look in those amber eyes of his was so intense, and yet it wasn't. So much could be said if the look in one's eyes could speak for themselves.
"So did I, darlin'," he said almost in a whisper.
~~~
For the first time ever in my life, I jolted awake and sat up in my bed.
The same bed I slept in every night and woke up in in the morning. The same, light blue walls that surrounded me as I went on with my day. The same, plain chandelier that hung on the same white ceiling I saw every time I looked up. The same blinds I'd close before bed so the morning light didn't wake me up earlier than I wanted.
My breathing was getting heavy and shallow. As I replayed the scene in my head, a familiar pang in my throat started to arise, accompanied by tears welling.
"Take me back," I whispered to myself. I held myself and stared down at nothing in particular.
"No, take me back. Take me back take me back please take me back!"
The tears rolled down my face as I squeezed my arms and sobbed quietly, not wanting to wake anyone.
"Take me back please! Cole! I need you! Fuck, I need you! Please! Let me go back!"
My body shook with each sob, stopping every now and then to breathe.
Thin rows of light shone on the wall opposite of the blinds from the faint light that seeped between them. The annoyingly familiar coldness of my bedroom had given me goosebumps. The heat that was now coloring my cheeks from crying kept my face warm though.
"No no no no! Take me back!"
And then, as my mind started to process everything, I came to a realization; I was conscious in that moment.
I was fully aware of my environment, of myself, and those around me. I didn't pay full attention, but I know I had all ten fingers. I was aware that I was taller than I normally am and that my body looked and felt different to how it normally does here.
"He... he meant it.... I was there... I was there!" I whispered loudly, feeling the resistance in my throat from speaking loudly.
"I was there Cole! You meant it! I shifted on accident and... you really said that.... God damn it," I whimpered as I squeezed myself tighter.
"For fuck's sake, take me back...."
This is so important.
Having kids know about same sex couples is no different than kids knowing about hetero couples: two people that love each other very much, end of story.
Only reason I think parents say it’ll confuse them is because they’re not comfortable with teaching their kids something “new” and “not normal.”
If kids have questions about the topic, let them ask. There’s no harm in teaching kids about why certain people love each other. Love is love after all.
