First off gonna say, Jack had brought this topic up before. At the time he'd presented it as a sortve 'what if' and didn't even mention such magical artifacts existed. So this is some where consent had been given and stuff because yes Jack's an ass but he's not that big a dick

So, with that in mind, the fact Jack had gotten a new magical item but wasn't immediate showing it to you or even saying what it was? Sure was suspicious of him

By that night at dinner the thought had escaped your mind and plus Jack had started the dinner by giving you your food and waited before starting to talk about the artifact

The food itself wasn't anything new or spicy, yet you felt yourself growing hot. Leaving you to take your coat off to try and cool yourself some what, no longer able to focus on Jack's words even

Focus only coming back when he thanked you for testing the aphrodisiac out for him, eyes shimmering with mischief and face adorned with a smirk
