Yesterday, after literally just dealing with the annoyance and pain for decades, I finally got all 4 wisdom teeth removed at the same time. Surgery went well, recovery is going okay. I’m taking more medicine (and having to document every single dose I take) than I have my entire life. I wasn’t able to take off a full week from work like I had wanted to since I only had 2 sick days saved and had to use a vacation day for the other, but at least there is plenty of things at home to entertain and distract me.

So for part of our holiday gift, my manager is paying for us to get professional head shot photos. We were told they would be on December 7 with a schedule of when our photos would be during the work day.

I got my eyebrows cleaned up for the first time in 3 years, I even got my chin and sides of my face waxed while I was at it. Got brand new foundation and primer, and packed my makeup kit in my work bag to apply it during my lunch break (since my photos would be in the afternoon). I have made doing sheet masks part of my *daily* nighttime routine for the past few days.

This morning I woke up at 5 am to take a shower and style my hair, taking time to diffuse it before I needed to work. I did both a sheet mask AND an eye mask this morning. I put my hair in a satin bonnet and covered that in a winter beanie to protect my hair during my commute to work. I also packed a hydrating hair mist to fix my hair from errant frizz during the day.

Right before I left my apartment we got a text that the photos were being pushed back till next week.
