Just a little sneak peak into what I’ve been writing for The Season! And yes, it is physically written because that’s how I’ve been spending downtime at my job 🤣

Oh boy....just....oh boy. I can't help myself when I say "when it rains, it pours" when it's LITERALLY RAINING IN THE CHAPTER. Ahem.

I think this chapter really shows the true nature and parallels of several of the characters - how they're different sides of the same coin. You have OC, who is determined (to a fault) to do everything herself because she's been let down her entire life, learning such hard lessons at an early age. She has to break herself over and over again for things to get done because she can't trust anyone to do anything for her without a catch. Then there's her brother Jason, who sees the system he was raised in and stayed to make a change, knowing that if he doesn't no one would. He was let down by how he was raised, just like OC, but rather than push everything away and take the harder path, he buckles up and takes it head on.

You also have Liam, who appears to do everything to make himself look better in both his job and society - he has to be the first to arrive and last to leave at work, personable enough to get people to trust him, he makes companies wait just long enough to become desperate to work with him, and ignores the outside world while he's "on". He wasn't raised in the same world as Jungkook, so it's like he had to not only learn the game, but win. Then there's Jungkook, who works just as hard and has made mistakes in the past, but at the end of the day he doesn't let work get in the way of his heart. If someone he cares for needs help, he will stop and help them. He knows his part in the game of his life, but it seems like he refuses to use people to his gain.

And it all comes to a head in this chapter. Those differences, how people react to and handle a crisis. And this might be the turning point. My heart really hurt for Jungkook this chapter, actually. He just cares so much, drops whatever he was doing to help OC out and even brings her food since he knows her, only for things to keep hitting a wall. But no matter what happened last time, no matter what was said, no matter how it ended, he still shows up. And OC....oh, OC. Honey...please take a deep breath, step back a little bit, and see what is happening around you. Not everyone is using you. And just because he has a past doesn't mean he's still that same person from before.

But in happy news...OLYA/HOSEOK FINALLY HAPPENED. And I love how casually that was dropped too - perfect way to announce it hahahhahaha

Oh my god I got my new laptop last weekend and it’s SO NICE. It has a touch screen I probably won’t use, 4K quality screen, and won’t crash if I try to open some documents! I got everything set up, and I’m all caught up getting my writing updated with what I had physically written in the meantime. So we are BACK ON TRACK.

Side note: a sign of how old my previous laptop was is that it originally ran on WINDOWS 7 UNTIL IT FORCED ME TO UPDATE TO WINDOWS 10 🤣
